[action/log/thing] first day here
Who: First scenario is Ray and Zack only, but the second is Ray and whoever runs across her!
What: Ray arrives at an odd hour, gets brought home, and then does some exploring. Also, one of the buses has lost part of its roof. Whoops.
[1. Arriving]
[The town is asleep when this bus screeches to a stop a few feet away from the actual bus stop. Yes, screeches, and it's clear why at a glance: there's a hole in the roof, as if something crashed through with great force.
The agitated driver exits, carrying what looks like a silvery package. Once they put it down though, it's obvious that it's not a package - just a small, worryingly pale girl with pale blonde hair and a white coat. The driver looks even more agitated as they shout concerns at the tiny thing.
People are not around to see how the girl doesn't react, nor how it unnerves the driver so badly they climb back into the bus and make a U-turn without even looking for anyone at the stop.
Rachel just stands there, like a tiny, discarded doll, and nobody is there. Nobody decent, anyway.
So that, of course, means...]
[2. Exploring]
[Decent people will probably run into Ray wandering around town, not much worse for wear despite her weird arrival. She's mostly on the edges of town, in the less populated areas. The woods, for instance, or the edges of other farms. She might be near the stores and whatnot, but not often.
For such a tiny teenager, her eyes are surprisingly dead-looking. There's no emotion on her face, and it's probably a little unnerving to see!
Maybe it's for the best that she shies away from the more populated areas. She's only trying to familiarize herself with the layout, after all; she's not actively trying to spook people by wandering around and being herself in their midst.]

1/something, idk
Unfortunately, once he actually reaches the stop? It's too late.]
FUCK- !!
[He stomps a foot on the ground as his hands ball up into fists and he lets out every known swear a mile per hour. Alas, such is life.]
2/still something, still don't know which
kirby'sZack is fucking pissed. He raises his scythe, preparing for a strike.]
3/idek anymore, lmfao
Which immediately turns into a surprised squawk as something else near the sign catches his eye.]
Hah?
[Blond, tiny...huh. Ha ha ha, okok maybe the heat is getting to him. There's no possible way, right?]
4/5, almost there...!
Blond, tiny, holding a bag and looking dead inside.
...oh.]
.......................................
[Oh no.]
I lied, 5/6
Hell.
NAW.]

He takes in a deep breath, before-]
WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE?!
1/2
Footsteps. Still nothing to do with her. What part of this matters? None of it matters, not really. Something has gone terribly wrong. Now what does she do?
An inhale, not hers, and--]
no subject
... Zack?
[She is pretty sure he's still back in the place. It doesn't make sense, so she just tilts her head, almost curious. What even is going on?]
no subject
[He marches right over (complete with boots stompin' and all), and clamps a hand onto her head before shaking her.]
What are you even doing here?! What, did you think going on some magical fucking bus was gonna be a faster way to get out or something?! I knew you looked dead, but I didn't think your brain would die too!!
no subject
...Zack, you were aiming for an air duct, remember? But somehow I got here instead...
no subject
[Now it's his turn to furrow his brows. And stare in complete, dumbfounded confusion for a moment because what.]
...did you take some weird shit on the ride too? 'Cause you must have busted it harder than you thought. Last I remember, we just got up to B4!
no subject
[This is weird.]
You really don't remember?
[Then he probably doesn't remember-- any of the rest of that floor... How sad.]
no subject
[He squints a for a moment. Mm, she doesn't seem like she's lying. But, on the other hand...who knows? Either way, he grips at his scythe once more.]
You ain't lying to me, are ya?

But he sees the tiny lost-looking child long before he actually collides with her or anything. He doesn't think he's seen this one before... should he stop and check on her? Probably. His pace slows step by step until he stops to lean forward and rest with his hands against his thighs.]
Phew... You doing okay out here, kid?
no subject
There doesn't seem to be anyone else, so he is probably talking to her. How weird.]
Mm, I'm fine.
[She's wearing shorts, after all. Even if she looks kinda spoopy and ghosty, she's probably okay!]
...Do you know where the library is?
no subject
Oh. [Is she sure, because she looks like a zombie or something. Actually, all the way out here in the middle of nowhere, maybe she is? Some spooky ghost that crawled out of a cornfield to find someone to give her remains a proper burial? Masamune's THIS CLOSE || to reaching out and seeing if his hand goes through her head before she stops him with her question.]
Well it sure ain't all the way out here. You want to actually be in town for that.
no subject
[She nods, then covers her mouth with one hand, thoughtfully. After a moment, she looks around, and then at Masamune.]
Which area of town? I really need to get to the library.
[Those eyes...sure are dead. No emotion, no determination, no spark. Yet she seems pretty sure about needing to get there.]
no subject
I dunno... haven't been there yet. I just know there is one somewhere.
[That's where the body is. Or her killer. Or some item of personal attachment. Should he walk right out of this creepypasta now or is that only going to afflict him with some terrible curse!? He grits his teeth and pivots on his heel to change direction.]
I'll help you look. I'm bored anyway.
no subject
Thank you. I need to learn how to farm.
[Unfinished business, or new resident? Who even knows anymore?]
no subject
no subject
Really? How long will it take?
[She wants to be useful sooner rather than later, dang it!!]
no subject
[No sense beating around the bush with that one.]
I know Kojuro knows damn well what he's doing so if you can't follow his example that's on you.
no subject
I will do my best. I need to learn this, after all.
[For such an emotionless little spook, she kinda seems determined now.]
no subject
[At least determination is something. A thing Masamune can respect, at that. Alright, time to head off toward Bonten Farm, then.]
So. Some mysterious benefactor just gave you a whole big farm to yourself, right?
no subject
[...need to? Because it will get her closer to her goal? That's not quite right.]
... I would really like to repay and be of use to him, so that means learning to farm.
[She doesn't mention the part where the farm is overrun with weeds and stones and the house is in dire need of repairs. No point dealing with that when you don't know what to do with the cleared land!
She also doesn't seem to notice the tiny hint of a smile on her face at the thought of being useful.]
