[With things being as they are as of late and "Violet" not really getting anywhere with the whole trying to work out who she is thing going on she's been doing her best to distract herselfs from the stresses and strains of farm life...namely raising mushrooms, trying to avoid another anxiety attack from Taako and definitely avoiding mineshafts for the time being.

Maybe it's time to reach out? Maybe address more people by making her face known around the valley. And as such she fiddles with her device and attempts to make herself known somehow.]

Uh Hi, hello... don't mind me!

I uhm...I've been in the valley for a few weeks now and still no luck in finding out anything about who I am or where I came from. So I was planting mushrooms as you do and a great thought came to me! What's the one thing all of us have to have in common...?

Families! We all must have come from families of some kind, right? So...[She adjusts herself and tucks one of her bangs behind her ear and coughs gently.] maybe, I thought--

I thought if you could tell me about your families that maybe... just maybe I might remember what mine's like.

My family, huh? Well, here it's a little [awkward] complicated, but back home my family's really close to one another. [Well, not as of late, with all the secrecy that's suddenly sprung up, but she tries not to think about it.] We really love each other a whole lot.

[Even with the current amount of hush-hush going on, she's never once doubted that.]

Oh, and I'm the youngest of four siblings! My entire family's pretty protective of me, too...

[One thing about her weird family situation here that she sees as truly positive is that the past versions of her parents are less protective and coddling. Not that her parents back home are the most protective of her out of the whole family -- that's always been more her siblings -- but it can still come from a frustrating level from them at times, too.]

Fortunately, we have a really big house! My mom's father -- my grandfather -- was a really rich and successful businessman, and Mom inherited everything from him. Then she successfully changed the direction of the business entirely! How cool is that?

[That's about the extent of knowledge Faith has on her grandfather. Her mom doesn't talk about him much -- even the past version of her that's here with her doesn't, she's noticed -- and Faith has never really asked why. She's not even sure she'd get an answer.]

It can still be pretty busy though, yeah. Especially when there's a lot going on with everyone!

Hello! Do you plant mushrooms? I bet they are good in soups and many other dishes!

Oh, families! Um...well. Haa, mine is a sad story. My elder brother died. I was the second brother of four siblings. Then my younger sister died, the third one. So right now, it was just me and my youngest sister back home. Ha, I'm getting older as I try to remember them, and as you can see, this old man has grey hair by now.

[Well, no. His hair is always silver. But still!]

Actually...I haven't tried them myself. I just had this niggling to plant them and then they sort of happened.

[She's a bit intrigued by this gentleman, He seems so tall but he has a very kindly face and also...there's just something so comforting about the colour grey somehow.] Oh I-I'm sorry about that. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked if I knew that subject was going to be a difficult one for people to talk about.

...And no, I don't remember anything. It's all fuzzy... sometimes I get flashes but then I think I'm dreaming. None of what I see seems at all real.

Pretty much the same, I just feel like I want to plant flowers and saplings of trees everywhere.

Ah I see...it seems like a case of amnesia. I can totally understand that. My memory isn't as good as used to be. Sometimes memories do come back as fragments, deja vu, flashes, and dreams. Sometimes it doesn't feel real...I fear of forgetting myself, so I meditate to try to stay in the present.

How about your mother and father? I don't have one. I was an orphan and so are my siblings. You don't remember them either? Anything at all?

No memories of your family? That's a terrible shame... I would gladly tell you all that I know of mine.

[He can and will! The silver haired Elezen nearly fumbles with his device as he gets comfortable before eagerly chattering away.]

My House is one of the noble houses of Ishgard. House Fortemps! I have two half brothers. Though I think their feelings about me may vary from day to day as is their right. I am, after all, an illegitimate child of my fathers. Though I have no right to any fortune, favor, or rank I am still granted those things by my father. Which is more than most can say but I do believe it troubles them quite a bit.

And my own existence within the manor has always taken up issue with my step mother who has never been fond of me and I in turn of her...

Regardless! I care very deeply for my family and am happy to have served as a knight in their name. It's quite an honorable station and I am proud to fill it.

I could go on and on about each of my brothers and my father too. But I don't want to sound too long winded. I do sincerely hope that you recall your memories. Family is important... I certainly don't know what I'd ever have done without mine.

I'm certain you did. And of course family is not always in the traditional sense. It doesn't need to be a father and siblings. There are many kinds. Sometimes just close-knit friends can be considered such a thing.

...Well at least if I did know then it'd be my choice in whether or not I'd want to be with them. I mean I guess it's still my choice right now.

I do. That's probably the best way to look at it, all things considered.

Well... I'm the second of four children. My race has a matrilineal structure and an emphasis on the women and daughters in particular. Most Keeper fathers don't really participate in raising kids, either, so it was just my mother and us for a while. I have an older sister who I get along really well with, a younger sister who deserves a swift kick in the arse at any given time, and a baby brother I kind of worry about. After a while, my father stepped back in, but it's not common practice; he just deemed it necessary and took it upon himself.

I don't see them as often anymore, but sometimes I go back and visit my older sister. I look up to her a lot, although I'd be lying if I said I'm not a little bit bitter about her, too. Distance makes things a little easier, of course; I don't think I could stand living with them again.

[She gives Flora a sort of half-smile. Everyone's been so helpful so far but she can sort of tell when people are kind of worrying they won't be able to help. In truth...maybe it's more than just trying to learn about who she is but also trying to build up new friendships too.]

It's wonderful. I mean... I worry a lot about her, but a big sister normally does. But at the same time... I know she can take care of herself. We look out for each other also if needs be.
