[With things being as they are as of late and "Violet" not really getting anywhere with the whole trying to work out who she is thing going on she's been doing her best to distract herselfs from the stresses and strains of farm life...namely raising mushrooms, trying to avoid another anxiety attack from Taako and definitely avoiding mineshafts for the time being.

Maybe it's time to reach out? Maybe address more people by making her face known around the valley. And as such she fiddles with her device and attempts to make herself known somehow.]

Uh Hi, hello... don't mind me!

I uhm...I've been in the valley for a few weeks now and still no luck in finding out anything about who I am or where I came from. So I was planting mushrooms as you do and a great thought came to me! What's the one thing all of us have to have in common...?

Families! We all must have come from families of some kind, right? So...[She adjusts herself and tucks one of her bangs behind her ear and coughs gently.] maybe, I thought--

I thought if you could tell me about your families that maybe... just maybe I might remember what mine's like.

[She's actually rather happy to see him again, they literally haven't spoke since they first met.]

Is your family really that bad?

I mean...aren't all families slightly hectic in their own way?

Hectic? How should I know if my family's hectic? They haven't spoken to me in ten years.

Trust me, lass, you're not missing out on anything.

[Well that's a shame, why would his own family push him out?]

...You think maybe that's what happened to me? Maybe it's my fault I'm here and my family didn't want anything to do with me anymore?

[No one's that harsh are they? Then again she doesn't remember anything of what happened before so who's to say she didn't do something so bad that she was made a outcast of her family?]

How should I bloody know? Everybody's got their own reasons for coming here, a good portion of them seem to be "I got here somehow and now I don't know how to go back help" given what's showing up on these blasted screens.

[She forgot what a delight you were, Scooge. Truly you're the most pleasant person in the valley. Still, there's got to be a softy under the grouchyness somewhere hasn't there? He was nice enough to walk her over to the clinic before so he can't be all bad can he?]

[Yes, taking care of a farm is retiring. Shut up. STOP JUDGING HIM.]

[It really isn't her place to say but Scrooge just seems so angry all the time, it's sad to see.]

[And clearing his throat and regaining his composure.]

How well or little I think about myself is none of your business.

I know! I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything....It's just--

Well despite how little you actually think you're worth I want you to know that even though I've only known you for a short while I think you're pretty great even if you are kind of a grouch.

[Scrooge scoffs.]

Lassie, I've done nothing to earn being called "pretty great" by you.

Maybe not. It just feels nice to give you a compliment since you won't allow me to do anything to repay you from helping me out the other day.

...You sure are stubborn you know.

Lass, what I did for you then? Bare minimum. I dropped you off at a clinic and went on my not-so-merry little way. I haven't reached out to check up on you; instead I told you that you're better off without family.

How in blazes do you see that as "pretty great"?

...Because no one else did.

[But someone else took a chance on her when no one else did some time ago too...it almost mirrors that and it causes her to pause for a moment to reflect on that...it might have been a dream or a memory or a memory of a dream she had once but she doesn't know how she should feel about that.]

I-I'm sorry. I've taken up way too much of your time... I have to--

I should go and see to my mushrooms.

[Scrooge is quiet for a long moment.]

Word to the wise, lassie: You shouldn't think anyone who shows you a hint of what might be kindness is a good person. If you had to learn it from someone, I'm glad you learned it from me rather than someone else who would've taken every gold coin you earned.

[Too late, Scrooge. Violet's already ran off screen to deal with uh certain things. She can still hear your voice in the back ground though and just needs a little time to deal. Maybe then she'll be ready to speak with you again.]

[And when Violet does come back to her jpad, Scrooge will have already have ended the call.]
