Enter the former Vault Dwellers - Joint Action with
warneverchanged - OPEN
The bus ride had been a very interesting one. She still wasn't sure what was going on, but she noticed that she wasn't the only one with a Vault suit and Pip Boy on. Though the other woman's was a different model than her own.
The conversation had started off simply. "Vault 111? I'm from 101." And it went on from there. They discussed the differences in the vaults and the lands around the vaults. They had a lot more in common than she realized at first.
When the bus stopped, the two former vault dwellers climbed off and looked around. The Lone Wanderer was stunned. She had never seen so much green before. Not even Oasis had this much green. At least she didn't have to deal with the Treeminders.
"So...is this what the world looked like before the bombs dropped?" she asked the older woman, still staring at everything. Unlike Nora, she hadn't been born before the war. She had only known life in a vault before she was pretty much evicted and forced into the Capital Wasteland.
[OOC: This is an intro for both The Lone Wanderer and Sole Survivor. Feel free to tag one or both of the women!]

"It's weird to see it again, honestly."

She knelt down to run her hand through the grass. "It's...softer than I thought it would be."
no subject
"People used to have barbeques outdoors on the grass in summer. Before the perpetual nuclear haze, anyway."

open to both!
The world was still frightening. But they couldn't help but look at these newcomers, something felt... almost homely, looking at them. Their deliveries could wait, as they approached. "It's pretty pre-war. In both senses of the word."

She was polite enough, but even with the help she got from the Brotherhood, she had issues with them.
"Never thought I'd see anything Pre-War that wasn't crumbling."

That's the best The Courier can say about them. Even if they work with them, well. They fucked over Veronica, Courier dislikes that. But they can't help but nod at the latter bit. "Even the Strip had some destruction and dirt - but this is beautiful. And there's a lot of it."

She didn't like most of the Brotherhood's ways, but she did like the power armor. It helped out quite a bit against super mutants.

"Really? I'm from the Mojave Wasteland - well, not from there. Travel a lot across the whole Wasteland. It's a bit of a shithole, but it's home right now."

"Which one of you punks is in this shell?" She asked, tapping one of the eye windows on their helmet.

But they don't seem to be frowning too much, even with their scar-covered face and single blind eye. Nah, they've got a bit of a smirk. "I'm not one of them. Just got the training."

When the bus came to a stop, he awoke, the paper sliding off him. He looked out the window. He'd never seen so much green in all his life.
The ghoul got off the bus shortly after the two women, and he took a moment to breathe in the air. The sun he didn't like. "That thing needs a dimmer switch."

"Hancock, you sly ghoul. Were you on that same bus?"
sorry for the delay
"Yeah, I was. Glad to see it didn't explode on the ride over."
no subject
"Same. Feels weird to be on pre-war transportation again, honestly."

Open to both!
"I'm Yes Man! It's a pleasure to meet you. If you need any help, don't be afraid to ask! I can't say no."
Re: Open to both!
"Most just call me Wanderer."

"Will do, Yes Man." She squints for a moment. "This is going to seem a weird question, but what year is it.... where you came from."
no subject
"Oh that's okay. Maybe a little weird but not out there. Did you get shot in the head too? It's the year 2281 where I come from; the Independent city of New Vegas! Jewel of the Mohave. Or that's what I'm hoping people call it. Catchy name, am I right?"

Sounded like he was from the west, 6 years before she woke up.
That was... interesting.
