The bus ride had been a very interesting one. She still wasn't sure what was going on, but she noticed that she wasn't the only one with a Vault suit and Pip Boy on. Though the other woman's was a different model than her own.

The conversation had started off simply. "Vault 111? I'm from 101." And it went on from there. They discussed the differences in the vaults and the lands around the vaults. They had a lot more in common than she realized at first.

When the bus stopped, the two former vault dwellers climbed off and looked around. The Lone Wanderer was stunned. She had never seen so much green before. Not even Oasis had this much green. At least she didn't have to deal with the Treeminders.

"So...is this what the world looked like before the bombs dropped?" she asked the older woman, still staring at everything. Unlike Nora, she hadn't been born before the war. She had only known life in a vault before she was pretty much evicted and forced into the Capital Wasteland.

"Yeah." She said, before bending down to run her hand along the blades of grass. "People had yards of this in front and back of their houses. Could be a bitch to take care of too." But gods, did she miss it when she was back at home. Miles on miles of dead everything could take its toll after a while.

"It's weird to see it again, honestly."

"The most green I've ever seen is Oasis. And the people running that place are crazier than raiders," she replied. "Whatever I drink to get in there was nasty."

She knelt down to run her hand through the grass. "It's...softer than I thought it would be."

"Oasis? Never heard of it." Then again, there were probably places LW hadn't heard of up north. Institute. Nuka World, etc.

"People used to have barbeques outdoors on the grass in summer. Before the perpetual nuclear haze, anyway."

"Its a place in the northern part of the Capital Wasteland, about the only place that's actually full of trees that are actually growing," she explained, standing up and looking around. "There's actually a talking tree there. Or...was."

"A... talking tree." She looks at her traveling companion for a moment. "That sounds like something Hancock would see on one of his crazy chem benders."

"It was all really crazy. The Tree Minders gave me something to drink. Gave me one hell of a trip," she said.

"Jesus. Sounds like one. Closest I had was the Memory Den, and then that was your own, or someone else's memories, if you were 'lucky'." She hated the trip down Kellogg's memory lane, ok.
