So you want to be a farmer? Here's the deal. Farming's stupid easy. First thing you gotta do, is you gotta--

[ streeeetch ] You gotta get yourself all nice and limber for the farming. [ crossing one arm over a shoulder, streeetch, doing the opposite. ] The farming that we were all interrupted in the multiverse to do. Specifically, coming here for farming, when my best friends are back home and this is supposed to be a place that reunites best friends or whatever.

Anyway, you take some seeds. [ Throws them over his shoulder. ] -- oop.

[ He turns and blasts the seeds to grow into an impressive beanstalk, sprouting weird vegetables that only wizardry would make. ]

Chill up, homie, I'm not the pope. You don't gotta bow. [ Taako gives him a little elbow. ] I may have my name written on the back of my shorts but that's a stylistic choice, not my own brand or anything. But imagine if it were...

[ After all of that ribbing is done, he gives him a big smile. ] You'd be doing everyone a huge favor patching them up. I bet there's lots of gold in it too, competition or not. Lots of people are gonna get restless and go on adventures soon. It's like, a thing.

Why would I be looking at the back of your-- d, don't answer that. [he cuts himself off, rolling his eyes with a little wry and embarrassed smile. Whoops. Let's not think about that longer than he needs too....]

There's no reason for me to have gold, so that doesn't matter to me. We druids survive on our own, we don't live with need for any material things, aside from the clothes on our back. So, no reason to even consider competition. I'm just here to help, nothing more.

Oh, damn! You're a druid! I should've guessed from the lillies, man! Nice to meet you! I already said my name, but yeah-- Taako Taaco, at your service. If you need any monsters taken care of or freaky puzzles solved, I'm your guy.

[ He juts out his hand with a happy grin. Finally, someone he knows could be from home! Something his idiot brain can understand! ]

Yes, I am. [the reintroduction catches him a bit off guard, flustering him as he offers a gloved hand to the man to shake in greeting. His hold is loose and quick, not one to assert dominance or something so silly.]

My apologies! You said so earlier, but I didn't introduce myself in turn... I am Silas, a Druid of the Springtide clan. A pleasure, Taako. I take it you have met other druids? [probably very different sort from his kind, who are less all the one with nature type and more about exerting a.... respectful control over it.]

I know a guy with a branch for an arm, if that's what you mean. He's actually more of a cleric, but he's really nature-y... if you get it. Both of those guys are back home, but knowing them, they're going to be launched here any minute because the universe gets all weird if we're ever apart.

His whole arm--? Cannot say I envy that, losing my ears was distressful enough... I feel I got a rather easy growth. My compatriot Irving was the bravest Druid I knew in that, he put the seed into his eyes. The result was not... what I would call pleasant. [Silas ears are rather cute in the end, Irving's eyes were.... very frightening. Even after years and knowing better, they still unnerved even Silas.]

Your compatriot is effed up. I wouldn't jam anything in my eyes if someone paid me, unless it was a beautiful contact lens with a lot of +1s to casting or something. And even then, I'd still expect to be paid.

[ Not really, but Taako... is Taako. ]

Ah, well, he had been blind since birth. It was worth a shot, as there was tale of at least one druid prior being granted great sight of past and future when he was Seeded. Irving was... granted no such powers, but I don't fault him for taking the chance.
