Action/Text: Who's that Pokémon?
Arrival.
[The bus pulls up, but its rider doesn't step off to join the valley community. He floats, simply drifting a few feet away as the doors shut behind him and the bus roars off.]
[Well. That hadn't been so bad. Nerve-wracking, prepared for betrayal at any second, ready to crush the bus and its occupants had its destination been even slightly other than promised... but so far, all had proceeded according to the plan he'd been given.]
[...Perhaps the boy's example had not been unique. Perhaps not every human is treacherous, traitorous, self-centered, and all too eager to enslave those they considered lessers.]
[Just most of them.]
[Mewtwo splays one hand, and in a flare of psychic light, his tablet rises to hover above it. There is supposed to be a map...]
Homecoming.
[This farm is not as concealed as he would like. Though it resides within the forest, it is not far enough in for true solitude, and the path that leads to it is a beacon that any could follow. Mewtwo would have to rely on hoping no one came exploring -- or perhaps more serious concerns later.]
[For now, he regards his greenhouse from a position several feet above it. A broken building, but not past salvaging. In fact -- he glances over his shoulder, eyes shining with power, and not far away a small tree rips itself from the ground. Telekinetic force strips off the branches, then splits the wood into planks, which Mewtwo sends hurtling towards the greenhouse with a wave of his hand.]
[Repairing this should be no mean feat.]
Text.
Humankind: I offer you a transaction, by which you shall be judged. Your greenhouses are battered and broken; I will repair them, for a price. That price shall be greater should you require I bring materials. Extend your acceptance of these terms through this device.
[So are they warned, and so shall he test them. Will they deal fairly, or with duplicity and malice?]

Your Pokémon. Tell me of them.
[There is one trainer, one trainer, he knows that is in truth a friend to the Pokémon on his team. But he cannot help but acknowledge that where this is one, there may be more.

they're also strong enough to help stop eco-terrorists from wrecking Hōen.
[And, in order of what she's about to enthusiastically info-dump-talk about:
swampert, absol, shiftry, mightyena, sableye, ninjask.]
about them individually...
Umaki's a ragurāji and was the very first pokemon that I could call mine. I still remember the day I got him, because I ended up having to save Professor Odamaki from a young pochiena, and Umaki was the first pokemon i sent out and i guess even then we had synergy in chasing the Bite Pokémon off, because once we got back to the lab, I was allowed to keep Umaki. He's probably the bravest pokemon i know
Tensai is ... well. in Hōen, absol aren't looked on very kindly because on top of being pure dark-type, lots of people think they cause disasters, which is false. They can sense them coming, so they try and warn people. But people are stupid about stupid things and they can be cruel, especially towards what they fear if they think they can get away with it. I don't care what you think of dark types, but there's lines that are crossed every day with them and i will physically fight you over my team, my friends, if you dare cross them.
[Welcome to Saeko 101. She really will fight you herself over this and other things.]
Kumori is a dātengu i found as a tanebō. it wasn't until I got into the next town that I learned that tanebō cluster in forests. being out like i found it not really good for them. Kumori's only really become a dātengu in the last month, and these pokemon can be dangerous as they typically protect the deep forests. He's got a bit of a forest on my farm, but don't worry, i'll point the trees he's claimed out
Tsuyoi is a guraena who is rather protective of me. She was the first pokemon i caught and i think she might have been from a breeding, because she had Fire Fang. I don't really know and I don't think I want to know because if that's true then why wasn't she with the breeder? But I guess it's possible that she is wild, because i know there's wild packs of herugā around Hōen. beautiful pokemon and i'd like to train one one day, but i wouldn't want to be facing a wild one.
Hiei is a tekenin who only looks like a dark pokemon. She's a ninja flying-bug, so you'll hear her more than see her as she is that fast. She's actually a 'twin', the other 'twin' being a nukenin, who i sent home to live with mum, who actually knows how to raise them because nukenin are hard to raise, and releasing one into the wild is a death sentence as far as i know, so i did what i thought best. Hiei doesn't seem to have suffered for it either.
Akura is a yamirami, a calm and collected ghost-dark i caught while i was exploring the Stone cave system near Muro town. Like absol, they're feared. Mostly because people believe that they can steal your spirit if you look in the gem-like eyes, and i think that might be true, because i have heard stories of yamirami trainers ending up dead and the pokemon nowhere to be found. But, i'm still alive, so i'm doing something right.
Babii is a baby rekkūza and she's rather curious, though looking after her is hard and i don't know what the league was thinking in entrusting one to my care when i don't know what i'm doing. i'm only a kid, and i never wanted to be caught up in anything, let alone be called a hero. I'm not a hero no matter what they say and I'd rather be doing my own thing than getting caught in the middle of adults trying to control two very much adult pokemon that are frankly downright terrifying. But i did, and i guess because i did the right thing i'm a hero in the League's eyes
I am sorry for making you infodump all that in html :(
[That makes this harder.]
Your response is enlightening.
It is not in my nature to trust, but for now, I will take the risk of extending some to you.
[He'd been wrong to trust before, every other time, but he had been wrong about other things too.]
[And if he is wrong this time... his power has never been inadequate for his own protection.]
It's ok. It's not as bad as it would have been with Eva.
Here's my farm. you don't have to come right away- i don't know how close i am, or who's before me, either.
[Farm's location is attached!
That said, when Mewtwo does show up? He's going to be greeted by one 15 foot long baby rayquaza, the sound a cross between a chirp, a hiss, and a mewl. Curious was understating it, as Babii shows exactly zero fear or wariness of the stranger and would like scritches please.]
->Action
[And it is meant to be an entrance that inspires wariness and caution in others. He could arrive more subtly, but why? Let this trainer be alarmed by his power, or tempted by it. If he were more subdued, it wouldn't be a test, now would it?]
no subject
She's as white as a sheet, eyes wider than they have any right to be because the last time she saw power like that.... Well. The single thought going through her head is: not again not again I can't deal with another super powerful super ancient creature - alien? That's either an alien or some kind of pokemon that vaguely looks like it could be from Lillie's world.
She's gonna go with alien, if only for her sanity.
Babii, did you go and annoy them?] Don't hurt her! Please! Babii, come here please, come here- Tsuyoi, Tensai, stand down, I'm fine, I'm fine-
[It's all she can really think of. One to try and keep the rayquaza from being hurt, two to get said pokemon to back off (though it doesn't quite work, but at least Mewtwo has some more personal space), and three to keep her beloved darks from getting themselves hurt if things go bad. Said dark types are reluctant and Saeko's small, scared voice on the verge of panic does not help.
Then, she bows, deep and low.] I'm sorry, I didn't - if I'd known you'd have been annoyed by Babii, I'd have recalled her before your arrival. I'm really sorry. Please, please don't be angry with her. She's a baby and doesn't mean any harm.
no subject
[Mew... After their last fight, would you be willing to have a fair and clean battle with him?]
[His eyes focus again, brought back to the present by her words. Hmph. With no need for devices to communicate, his telepathy rings out instead.]
If I were angry or annoyed, you would know. She is obviously a young Pokémon. This barrier will not cause her harm. I am here to conduct business, and will harm no one if not given cause.
[That message is broadcast at large, for all the Pokémon here as well.]
no subject
[It's 100% blurted out and she does go a bit red after, and the two darks look at her, a bit confused. Saeko takes a breath, and the next time she speaks, it's with as much confidence as she can muster.]Tsuyoi, Tensai, sit. Stand down.
[Both pokemon sit and with great reluctance stop the posturing. Pack leader has spoken, but they're not happy about it. Notably, Saeko doesn't try with Babii, instead taking a few more breaths, heals of her hands against her eyes for a second, before she straights with a smile she does not feel.
Fear is very much the order of the day, but she's got this.
Really.]
Hi, I'm Kurotani Saeko. It's nice to meet you. I think your arrival reminded us of things we lived through, though that is no excuse for the behaviour. So, please forgive us. T-That said, um, the greenhouse is this way. We ended up making a pile of materials there because there was nowhere else to put them really. It'd be nice to have it up, as then I can start to grow some berries.
[Talking and walking is ok, right?
That said, Babii does give Mewtwo the most heartbroken look she can muster, before trailling after the human. Who'll be nice, and give scritches!!]
no subject
[Talking and walking is not exactly okay, because Mewtwo neither talks nor walks -- he floats and uses his psychic power. But the sentiment carries over.]
[Fear. Yes, of course. That is all a powerful Pokémon can receive from a human -- that and a desire for that power.]
I am Mewtwo. I too am a Pokémon trainer, though my clone Pokémon did not come with me to this place.
no subject
Though, the bleed there is is nothing good. There's fear and terror and loss and pain and helplessness; all of it raw and honest. But, she tries to keep them under control. It wouldn't do to burden her guest with her own issues. She asked for help, that's what she's getting.
Tensai leans against her, and Saeko stumbles, almost crumbling at the support. Her hand fists in the fur, and she continues on as if nothing is wrong.
That her guest isn't Psychic.]
Clones or not, no trainer should be separated from their team. That's not right or fair. Sure, pokemon training's dangerous, but, we befriended them, right? So, how is it fair they get left behind while their trainer comes here? It's not.
no subject
[His fellow clones might be better served without his influence for a bit. He himself is trying to learn things anew. That humans and Pokémon can be friends. That there is no difference between those born in a lab or from an egg.]
[Mewtwo abruptly comes to a halt in midair.]
Is it my power you fear? My appearance? My nature?
no subject
Great.] The last time I saw power like that, I was caught in the middle of it, fighting for our lives because Aogiri-san, Matsubusa-san, and Higana-san were idiots who thought they could control what are known as 'primal' pokemon, Babii's parent included. It went as well as you'd expect but at least we saved the babies lives.
[She's shaking as she speaks, and it's clear she has a lot of Feelings right now about her world's Archie, Maxie, and Zinnia. Idiots is probably the kindest she can call them.]
no subject
An excellent reason to fear.
[He won't to lie or sugarcoat. To anger Pokémon that had undergone primal reversion is folly eclipsed only by angering the Creation Trio, Arceus, or Mewtwo himself.]
Know this, however. I am the opposite of a primal Pokémon. My power is disciplined. Nothing will happen I do not will. Though I do not know my purpose... [One three-fingered hand flexes at his side, as the word brings up memories.] I have concluded that it does not require harming humans or other Pokémon without direct cause. If you are fair to me, I will be fair to you. We are equal.
[Neither inferior as he was treated, nor superior as he felt himself to be. Power and strength, of course, are other matters, but a human had given his life -- and Pokémon had given it back -- to show that by nature, their existence itself is no more or less special than the other's.]

Judging from this and the jPad conversation - someone has hang-ups on being Equal. Maybe? It sounds like it. It's only because of her experiences with training dark-types, and dealing with all the Lovely Shit that comes with it, that she thinks she might sort of get why that could be so important to him.
She stares at him straight in the eyes, standing as tall as her 5'1 height allows.] Mewtwo-san... I really hope you kneed whoever it was that said you're not equal in the nuts or something equally painful and then let your team pee on them. Because they're wrong. Back home, pokemon can't communicate to humans like this. People can though, so... You're a person in my books and that is that.
[She is 1000% serious, and yes both darks do in fact seem to perk up at the mention of peeing on a person. If anything, the absol looks particularly proud as well.]
no subject
[Explosively regretted it. Mewtwo is not a creature of any subtlety. What parts of him had been were chemically erased long ago, and only now is he attempting to rebuild a normal personality inside an abnormal brain.]
If you create something, do you not possess it?
no subject
[There's a firm nod of acceptance. She's not gonna ask how- she doesn't think she wants to know how. It's followed by a head tilt and a rather confused look at the new topic.] I... I don't think I follow what you mean. Are you talking about making an object like a chair?
Or... something else?
no subject
[There is little change in his expression, though his psychic voice is now sharp as a knife, though it cuts nothing.]
Knowing trainers, knowing people, what do you think the answer to that question is for most?
no subject
Right. They're not here and she is.] Hmmm. Like I said, back home pokemon can't communicate to humans like this. People can, so that makes you a person, right? Well, to me it does anyway.
no subject
[Philosophy, aside from nihilism, is not something Mewtwo has dabbled in, and something he has come to realize he must rethink. There is much and more to life than must be understood...]
I'm loving this thread, btw
[Said rayquaza having decided that if y'all've stopped walking to talk, then it's naptime-the-nth in the sun. Tensai and Tsuyoi have flopped down beside the legendary, watching both Mewtwo and Saeko, who's... having a bit of a rant. Opps?] But that doesn't mean they speak like a person and I'd love it if they could, because it would make things a lot easier! But they can't! They don't have that level of intelligence as far as I know. It doesn't mean they're not intelligent either, because they are. It's just not human level smart though I think that might change, because we're discovering new things about pokemon all the time.
You are very much human-level intelligent, so you're a person. [She sighs.] Look, I've only got a limited understanding of this subject, so... I-I don't know what else I should say.
no subject
[He shoots a glance at her Pokémon, wondering what they thought of all this. Though at her last words, he shakes his head slightly.]
I asked for your thoughts. They are of value to me. Until recently, I did not believe humans and Pokémon could ever be friends. You are more proof that I was wrong... and that the Pokémon who believe it as well are not weak, or inferior.
no subject
Thanks. We can get stronger still, but... Well. It's better that we don't. Not right now. [For all she seems to puff in pride (echoed by her pokemon, especially the absol) her eyes flick to Tsuyoi with more than a bit of apprehension. Then it's gone.] What does friendship mean to you, Mewtwo-san?
no subject
[A particularly good question.]
[One to which he has a partial answer, at least.]
Partnership. Equality.
[What humans had at first denied him.]
no subject
[She paused, and her nose wrinkles a bit.] I sound like Dad.
no subject
[But such things are not necessary. That is a lesson he learned, and must remember -- that his life had the value he made it have, not what was assigned to it based on the circumstances of his birth.]
