1. Welcome to the Farm

For all that I was talking about settling down and growing some crops, I am not entirely certain I meant it.

[Chen regards the quaint farm, with its open fields and run-down greenhouse, from the fence gate -- one hand on his hip, the other still supporting the long staff he has slung over one shoulder, using its length as a lever to keep his massive keg upright.]

[Honestly, at his size, girth, and species, he can't help but stand out as something out of the ordinary.]

[At last he ventures on forward, taking the first step onto his new home.]

...Li Li would laugh at me, and then be bored. [That sentiment certainly brings a smile to his face.]

2. In Starhue Valley, Bear Welcome You!

[In a situation like this, there is only one thing to do: greet the neighbors!]

[So Chen sets out on a circuit around his farm and winding his way to every point of interest around, looking for people to say hello to. Out on the road? He's pacing his way over with a friendly hello. At home? Someone's knocking on your door! Out in your field hard at work? He's cheerfully vaulting the fence to approach.]

[...honestly that last one might be a little impressive.]

Good afternoon! My name is Chen Stormstout, and I have just recently moved here. [Chen inclines his head in a bow, still all genial smiles.] I am traveling about to meet my neighbors, and learn what it is they are growing.

It's alvays nice to meet new neighbors, zo velcome to zhe farm! I'm Rip und here ve are growing all sorts of crops! I've been vorking on setting up a proper apple orchard since I arrived her.

[She really was fond of her trees after all.. and considering how much space of her farm was dedicated to her orchards, was it really a surprise they were her pride and joy? Well, one of her pride and joys. She started to toy with the blue sea shell necklace around her neck as she glanced back towards him.]

I vorked day und night to clear zhe land so ve could plant things, it's zhe only reason we've gotten our farm as far along.

Your hard work shows through! An orchard is especially ambitious for around here, especially if you too are only recently arrived. And that is wonderful to hear!

[Chen taps a hand to his chest.] I am a Brewmaster, and that means I am learning what ingredients are around here to make my drinks from.

Vell, you'll find all sorts of crops zhat are perfect for creating all sorts of drinks, alcoholic or not. My fiance vishes to brew his own ales at zome point und I'll admit, hard cider had crossed my mind a few times vith zhe apples.

Oh, you might be surprised what I find suitable for brewing. [That's the grin of a confident Brewmaster, one who's made some fine drinks out of some very strange things.] But fruit for cider? That is no challenge at all.
