1st Bond [Action]

[It has been a few weeks since he arrived in Starhue Valley and surprisingly, Augustine managed to adapt to his new surroundings thanks to his constant run-ins with several phenomena back home. Ever since then, he not only settled in his new farmhouse, but also met some nice folks as he wanders around Pelican Town to truly get the feel of this rustic lifestyle.

However, as he is about to go back home after touring around town, Augustine suddenly fell onto his knees, which he drops his jPad from his hands. Anyone passing by may see him clutching his head in pain.

Unknown to them, Augustine suddenly has a sudden surge of new, but short visions from his past life memories. To his surprise, he not only hears them in these new memories but the names of the people that he met.

When the memories dispersed, he opens his eyes and finds himself still clutching his head, now gasping at what he saw.]

W-What happened? Did I fell unconscious?

Well it sounds a little strange...but I can't really argue with you. [She chuckles.] I culd be in the same boat as that poor owl of Aurora's.

[He would smile after introducing himself. But he suddenly realizes what he said.]



N-No, wait... It's Augustine Sauveterre. Why did I just say that?

[More importantly, why did he introduce himself as his past self that Lusamine mentioned before?]

[Looks like she's not the only person having memory issues here. Augustine sounds like he's probably going to be someone she should stick pretty close by to if there's something kind of strange happening in the valley with people's memories.]

Well, whatever's happened I'm sure we can help each other out. Though I'm still not sure what I should grow on my farm just yet. I thought about flowers but it seems everyone else seems to be doing that. So I thought about maybe limiting myself to maybe just one kind of vegetable...Maybe mushrooms.

If you haven't found anywhere to stay just yet I don't mind letting you take refuge with me, I mean there's plenty of room and I can't help thinking we're both kind of in the same predicament right now.

I-It's alright. I still have my memories, though I feel that it's starting to clash with my past self's memories. Plus, I already got a place to stay. As for the vegetable, I recommend parsnips. Their seeds are cheap to buy and they are easy to tend with.

[Vegetables aside, he frowns as he remembers what happened. He did collapse when he got a migraine, but he doubts it's a normal one.]

Still, that hasn't happened to me before.

[She frowns with concern and looks over him.] How are you feeling now?

I-I'm okay. It's just that... These memories appeared randomly or any action that may relate to it.

But this is the first time I felt a strong migraine when I obtained my memories.

Well, try to take it easy then...the last thing you want to do is push yourself too hard.

I just wish I knew what I could do to be of more help.

It's called Retrospec. It's a social network app that only Recolle residents who also have past lives can use. It can install itself on any smartphone or any devices, but any non-users can't see it. I don't know if it can show itself to you, but...

It's called a smartphone. You can use it to communicate to others faraway and use the internet.

[Augustine nods no as he looks at his phone once more.]

I doubt it. If the app deleted itself, my memories related to it and my past life would have been erased.

[Such as the case with his friend, Ainsley.]

But for some reason, I can still remember them.

[She's still none the wiser about it though, she can barely work her own device.]

Is there anyone who could fix it for you? Maybe there's a special shop just for smartphones here in the Valley who know more about these kind of "app" things?

Unfortunately, I feel that even if there is someone to help me, the app won't return into my phone very soon.

Which makes me wonder what happens if I return to Recolle with my memories intact...

[He has a guess that his memories would be erased no matter what he does.]

I guess you don't know much about smartphones, do you?

No, I don't. I've barely touched the device I have because I don't understand it at all...

[It's almost as if there's something else preventing her from knowing how to use it. But of all the things she doesn't seem comfortable with since she arrived in the valley it's the modern technology side of things.]

I see. I guess your amnesia causes you to forget about these kind of devices.

[That is his guess, though.]

I guess you also don't know about the other modern day technology as well.

I've been trying with them...but everything seems kind of odd to me. It feels like there should be a different way of doing these things that I'm more used to but I can't figure out what.

Well, this place seems to focus pn the rustic side such as farming and an old-fashioned lifestyle. So I doubt you should worry less about modern technology for now.

Don't worry, Vi. If you interact with many more people around town, you may able to learn more about yourself very soon.

I assure you, you will able to regain your memories just like I do back in Recolle.
