A. Arrivals and Much More

You’re here because you were dropped somewhere that tried sending you home, or you're someone with a call to the heart to explore the vast universe. The buses run at odd schedules, so please pardon any interruptions! I hope you fellas make yourselves at home, here!

[ Marjorie’s whole speech rings through your ears as you begin to explore the area. It seems a few people who arrived on the TDM have already been here for a week, but you’re just a newcomer. So where are you when this all went down? Are you trying to get back on a bus that’ll take you home, or…?

B. Home Sweet Home

[ The dust has settled on the bus ride here, and you can’t help but notice that your farmland… well, it’s a mess. Rocks and grass everywhere, no matter which layout you were set with. You were given a set of tools, and the message that this land is yours to shape or change or build on no matter what you want, so long as it’s yours. The little crate by the edge of the house is what will hold your bounties from farming, collected nightly with money delivered to your mailbox the following day, like some kind of Produce Fairy visited.

The house is in alright shape. It’s not brilliant, but it has a kitchen, a bathroom, and a studio bedroom where all your belongings can be. It’s wide enough to accommodate several things until you upgrade it.

Sometimes you see a stray dog or cat at the edge of your property. Do you adopt it?

Anyway, it’s time to make what you will of your farm. ]

FESTIVAL PLAYLIST

[ Down a hill a little ways from Pelican Town is a remarkable festival set-up! Several attractions and vendors line the streets where everything is going down. Where will you go? ]

C. Food Stalls

[ Surrounding the entire property are dozens of food stalls, from all around the universe. Marjorie bussed in caterers from all around with a healthy sum of gold, and they’re happy to sell their wares in this strange place tonight. Where you might find octopus balls, you’ll also find kraken balls. Where you might find corndogs, you’ll find dogs selling corn.

It’s a veritable buffet! And the gold you’ve started with is more than enough to go shopping for food. Have fun! ]

D. Games

[ All manners of Carnival Games are set up! From throwing a baseball at bottles to catching goldfish with a paper net, everything you can dream of is here. There are even some unorthodox games, like dance-offs, karaoke, and a little bit of everything. Apparently, the NPC couldn’t choose who to go with what. It definitely makes for a big festival.

In addition to the above, there’s water gun races, squeaky duck ponds, skee-ball, target shooting, test your strength with a hammer, pitching speed, shooting hoops… and more! ]

E. Three-legged Race

[ You didn’t think this festival was going to go by without tomfoolery, did you? For the prize of 1,000 Gold, you can rally up a partner and get tied to them by the ankle, participating in a no-rules no-bars-held race. The winners will be randomized! But the real gift is going to be the fact that the ties around your ankles? Aren’t coming undone. You’re going to have to be tied together until 11 PM! ]

F. Fireworks

[ Errant magic and mishaps aside, you have to admit, the fireworks show at the end of it all is really something. Marjorie hired a pony for them, and the lights are as ethereal as they are non-traditional. It’s a good moment to snuggle up to someone or enjoy company with a new friend. ]

[His eyes widens when he realizes the resemblance with one of his Pokemon's abilities.]

Strange... That's the same phenomenon that Modeste experienced. And all because of those strange stones that I've obtained a year ago.

It may very well be. There's been cases of amnesia, forgetfulness and construction of another life in the process. [She thought of her missing husband and pushed it aside.]

That would probably be a Megastone then, they're used to facilitate Mega Evolution.

Huh... I didn't think of that before... Then again, I did live in Recolle for all of my life, not knowing what these creatures are until now...

[He then folds his sleeve on his left arm to show her the stone embedded on his watch.]

So this is a Mega Stone as well?

[She looked at it and nodded.] Yes, that's a Mega Stone.

Which means, either you lost your memory and rebuilt it while forgetting who you might be, or it's a past life or something similar. Pokemon cannot Mega Evolve just out of nowhere mind you. Mega Evolution is a result of the most powerful bond between Human and Pokemon. 100% Absolute Trust is it's key.

A bond, huh?

Modeste already knew me when I first met her and yet, I managed to Mega Evolve her at some situations a few months later...

Then that stands to reason your bond is still strong.

[Lusamine leaned back in her chair, crossing her legs and folding her arms.] Ah, this is such an interesting research topic! Imagine, a human and his Pokemon separated from a moment in time, and when you meet again, the bond is just as strong.

It reminds me of how amazing and unreal the world of Pokemon really is.

I just wished I can able to remember more about Modeste and her bond with my past self.

[So far, he only remembered how they first met and her evolutions. Yet, there seemed to be no signs of any visions lately. Guess that it's because he's not in Recolle or that the app hasn't acted up lately.]

It sounds like you have a long way to go, Augustine. And yet, I'm sure you'll get through it. I can help as much as possible.

[She smiled.] Friends are just as powerful as partners.

[Augustine smiled upon hearing those words.]

That is true. Modeste is there to help me whenever I need to and I feel I need to do the same to her.

Her memories of her past self might be fractured, but I feel we may work together to learn more about our past.

That's good then. I hope you two recover what you've lost.

I hope so as well. Once I returned to Recolle, I may have more memories of my past life to learn more of it.

That sounds ideal.

Swing by my farm later, I've got some nice produce you can grab. Being here a week some of the potatoes have almost finished growing.

That would be nice. I am growing some carrots back on my farm, but I doubt they are not ready to be harvested. I'll let you know when they will be at a later date.

Baby carrots are a thing, but I get you. Good luck with that!

[When he looks down, however, he notices that his blue frog is gone.]

Oh dear...

Your Froakie is gone?

[She looked around, trying to spot the Pokemon. It's getting later, and with his color, more chances of losing the amphibian.]

He must have snuck out when we're talking. Where could have been gone?

[His answers were quickly answered when foam bubbles fell onto his head. If Lusamine looks up, she can see his Froakie laughing at the top of a nearby stand.]

There he is, [said Lusamine.] We should probably retrieve him before he pulls more pranks on everyone.

Good idea.

[But before either of them can act, the Froakie laughed so hard, it quickly lost its balance.]

Bulle!

[As if she heard her owner's plea, Augustine's Poke Ball in his pocket pops open as his dragon appears and catch the poor frog.]

[When Froakie was tumbling off the ground, Lusamine was halfway through,] Herdier--! [when the dragon appears and catches him.]

Okay, we're good. You should be more careful!

[Herdier went back to his plate.]

[While he is surprised that Modeste escapes from her Poke Ball, he is relieved that she managed to catch Bulle on time.]

Thank you, Modeste. As for you, Bulle, this is what happens if you keep up with your tomfoolery.

[He then takes the blue frog from Modeste's hands (or claws).]

I suggest you should behave next time if you don't want that to happen again.

[Bulle frowned in guilt, realizing his owner's words were right. If Modeste wasn't there to rescue him, he would have injured himself or worst. He then left Augustine's arms and stayed near his seat to sulk.]

Surprisingly Froakie are more hardy than that, but since it was an unexpected tumble, he could have gotten hurt.

[She went over to Modeste and offered her a cookie in the shape of a Steenee head.] Here you go, a job well done.

[Modeste happily accepts the cookie as she growls to Lusamine as her way of thanks. Augustine, on the other hand, became confused at this scene.]

Wait, you aren't scared of Modeste?

Your Modeste is a Garchomp, [said Lusamine, shaking her head.] She's just adorable to me, rather than scary.

Garchomp?

[Augustine looks at his dragon in curiosity.]

Is that her species's name?
