You’re here because you were dropped somewhere that tried sending you home, or you're someone with a call to the heart to explore the vast universe. The buses run at odd schedules, so please pardon any interruptions! I hope you fellas make yourselves at home, here!

[ Marjorie’s whole speech rings through your ears as you begin to explore the area. It seems a few people who arrived on the TDM have already been here for a week, but you’re just a newcomer. So where are you when this all went down? Are you trying to get back on a bus that’ll take you home, or…?

B. Home Sweet Home

[ The dust has settled on the bus ride here, and you can’t help but notice that your farmland… well, it’s a mess. Rocks and grass everywhere, no matter which layout you were set with. You were given a set of tools, and the message that this land is yours to shape or change or build on no matter what you want, so long as it’s yours. The little crate by the edge of the house is what will hold your bounties from farming, collected nightly with money delivered to your mailbox the following day, like some kind of Produce Fairy visited.

The house is in alright shape. It’s not brilliant, but it has a kitchen, a bathroom, and a studio bedroom where all your belongings can be. It’s wide enough to accommodate several things until you upgrade it.

Sometimes you see a stray dog or cat at the edge of your property. Do you adopt it?

Anyway, it’s time to make what you will of your farm. ]

FESTIVAL PLAYLIST

[ Down a hill a little ways from Pelican Town is a remarkable festival set-up! Several attractions and vendors line the streets where everything is going down. Where will you go? ]

C. Food Stalls

[ Surrounding the entire property are dozens of food stalls, from all around the universe. Marjorie bussed in caterers from all around with a healthy sum of gold, and they’re happy to sell their wares in this strange place tonight. Where you might find octopus balls, you’ll also find kraken balls. Where you might find corndogs, you’ll find dogs selling corn.

It’s a veritable buffet! And the gold you’ve started with is more than enough to go shopping for food. Have fun! ]

D. Games

[ All manners of Carnival Games are set up! From throwing a baseball at bottles to catching goldfish with a paper net, everything you can dream of is here. There are even some unorthodox games, like dance-offs, karaoke, and a little bit of everything. Apparently, the NPC couldn’t choose who to go with what. It definitely makes for a big festival.

In addition to the above, there’s water gun races, squeaky duck ponds, skee-ball, target shooting, test your strength with a hammer, pitching speed, shooting hoops… and more! ]

E. Three-legged Race

[ You didn’t think this festival was going to go by without tomfoolery, did you? For the prize of 1,000 Gold, you can rally up a partner and get tied to them by the ankle, participating in a no-rules no-bars-held race. The winners will be randomized! But the real gift is going to be the fact that the ties around your ankles? Aren’t coming undone. You’re going to have to be tied together until 11 PM! ]

F. Fireworks

[ Errant magic and mishaps aside, you have to admit, the fireworks show at the end of it all is really something. Marjorie hired a pony for them, and the lights are as ethereal as they are non-traditional. It’s a good moment to snuggle up to someone or enjoy company with a new friend. ]

[ Soon, a concert of pretty wild proportions is going to start! But it's not going to start without both the bandmates! ]

[ She gestures for Marina to introduce herself! ]

Marina! We're so happy to be here for all of you, and I hope this will be a concert to remember!

[Marina is working the crowd, waving at everyone from her DJ table as she exclaimed,] We're going to kick things off with a new beat!

And it's nothing you've heard before, so don't get out of your seat!

[ FLASHY POSE, pointing towards her co-idol! ]

Ready, Marina?

[Marina struck a flashy pose as well, grinning and pointing towards Pearl.]

Ready Pearl! Let's go!

[ CUE THE MUSIC,

CUE THE LIGHTS,

CUE THE SWEET, SWEET JAMS

And cue Pearl shredding it on the stage! ]

[Marina is a little more subdued in her motions.

But she's also working a dj table as she sings as well.

And it is glorious.]

[ And Pearl is out here, pandering to the crowd's cheers, clapping her hands and then listening as if 'I can't heeeeear youuuuu'. The roar of the crowd is pretty awesome! As the first song finishes, she turns back to Marina. ]

Heeey, do you think they've earned a new song? I don't think they're loud enough!

I dunno Pearl, maybe? Can we hear a louder yes?

[the crowd roars in appreciation as she giggles.] Okay then, a new song would be great!

Do you think it's time for... a little bit of Color Pulse?!

[ Hyping up the crowd again for this one! There's a lot of applause, despite most of the people out there not even hearing squid music before! ]

[ Guess who's cheering you on both UPROARIOUSLY. ]

We've been asked for an Encore, shall we give it to them? [asked Marina of Pearl as she grinned at Rose and winked.]

[Faith is in the audience, because why wouldn't she decide to support the new friend she's found in Marina? The music being great is a bonus!]

Aww right! [She's cheering them on as loudly as she can.]

[Marina is waving at everyone and she winks at Faith with a grin.]

[Faith grins and winks back, a faint blush on her face. She eagerly listens to the next song, feeling really glad that she decided to come to the concert. She's having an excellent time!]

[Breaking into song, she dances along with it as she whirls around her DJ table, busting out music like it was like breathing for her. She sang and danced and grinned at Faith.]

[Faith can't help but find Marina impressive. Well, both Marina and Pearl, but especially Marina, since Faith's actually talked to her. There's something super wonderful about watching someone put their all into something, and for it to come naturally to them. Something really, really... cool.

She returns Marina's grin, clapping to the beat of the music.]

[In between one of their breaks, Marina hopped off, accepted a cup of juice and waved to Faith.]

Hey! How are you enjoying the show?

[Faith waves back.]

I'm enjoying it a lot! The two of you are really talented, and you really give it your all. Who couldn't enjoy that?

[What in the hell these squid??? ladies??? were putting on one hell of a show and at some point McCree decided if talking gorillas weren't weird then this wasn't weird either. He couldn't understand some of the lyrics--he chalks it up to drinking a little--but the beats were sick.

Eventually he cups his hands together and bellows out from the crowd;]

HEY! Ya'll take requests? CAN YA'LL DO FREEBIRD?

WHAT THE HECK IS A FREEBIRD?!

YOU KNOW? FREEBIRD?

BUT IF I STAYED HERE WITH YOUUUUU GIRLLLL THINGS JUST COULDN'T BE THE SAME... 'CUZ I'M AS FREE AS A BIRD NOW AND THIS BIRD YOU'LL NEVER CHAAAAAANGE~~ ♪

[He pauses to see if they get it, if they don't he keeps going on for another verse. Please stop him. He'd probably have a decent singing voice if he hadn't had a few drinks in him, otherwise he sounds like a yodeling cat crawled up out of the deep south.]

[Why stop him when another voice can join right in? Deep. Loud. Somehow excessively dramatic.]

[There's guitar?? SOMEONE IN THE CROWD BROUGHT THEIR OWN GUITAR TO A CONCERT. WHO THE FUCK.]

[In that moment, the rest of the concert simmered down to dull background, replaced with the soft melody of Freebird's second verse lead-in. Time slows and their eyes met and McCree wondered who this stranger was and where he came from--was he delivered from heaven to make this concert even better... was he a long lost sibling, or, no--? His eyes comb over the other man and...

...Holy shit who the fuck brings a guitar to a concert...?! And why has he never been happier that someone decided to so tactlessly do so.

Reality snaps back in, a better reality, and McCree sidles up to Karamatsu.]

AND THIS BIRD YOU CAN NOT CHAAAaaaaaAAAAaaaaANNNNGEEEEE!

[Sorry, Pearl and Marina.]

MARINA, DROP THE BASS! WE'VE GOTTA SCHOOL THIS SHOAL!

[ If it's a music fight you want, Pearl is gonna bring it! With the music high and lively, it's clear Pearl is having more fun than is actually upset about a bunch of people in her audience trying to outsing her. Nonetheless, she's gotta stay the STAR of the show one way or another--!

It's time for the NASTY MAJESTY/FREEBIRD MASH-UP ]

[Oh god. So much is happening, all of the sudden.

1. Karamatsu has locked eyes- no, locked his very soul with a fellow handsome badass, and their voices lift in sweet harmony.

2. Karamatsu has fallen in love.

3. Karamatsu has unwittingly been dragged into a sing-off.

While his blissful ignorance lingers for just a few moments longer, he's all cocky grins; he swings his entire arm out to point at Pearl, and a spotlight beams down from ... somewhere ... with perfect timing.]

BRING IT ON, YOU SECOND-PLACE FISH IDOLS!

[Stealing Totoko's gimmick! He'll fight for her honour! He'll play his heart out for the whole... the whole... crowd... Oh, wow, there are actually a few eyes on them now, huh...

Suddenly that bravado vanishes, and he hesitates for a second before clapping a hand to McCree's shoulder and smiling at him. His eyes sparkle in the colourful lights.]

Heh... I'm counting on you, partner.
