[Kyousuke himself is white-haired and imposing, with large snowy owl wings on his back and feathers covering the area where his right eye should be, like so. He is visibly carrying a sword, with another one tucked hidden in his coat in a compact state. He doesn't give off the impression that he's going to be a very easygoing Sheriff... but at least if you're in danger, that might be reassuring?]

[Huh... Belias reminds Kyousuke of some of the spirits he encountered in Koriko. He's a little surprised, but he's used to letting that surprise bubble underneath the surface without showing on his face.]

More or less. But if I find the laws lacking, I will be sure to fill in the gaps to prevent the reign of chaos.

I have known those who spread Order - those who kill for their own unknown morals. If I am to aid, I shall only follow those laws befitting this lands' new status.

How do you feel about those who committed crimes before arriving?

[Kyousuke pauses for a long moment, his eye glassing over with a faraway look. He's far from proud of his plunge into extremism, but the way Belias stresses the word kill makes murder sound like such an unfathomable extreme, and he can barely even relate to such a viewpoint anymore. How many more steps beyond that had he gone, in the name of justice and Order? Where is he drawing his personal line now that he's reevaluating his approach?

But since he doesn't want to hide in shame, and since it's relevant to the conversation anyway, he sighs and tries to arrange his thoughts into a response.]

...Depending on your interpretation, I might be among those former criminals. I have no desire to punish people for their pasts.

I am no stranger to bloodying my hands in the name of order, but it is my hope that any disputes can be resolved through incapacitation and rehabilitation, or exile at worst, but not death. That blood on my hands brings me here to begin with.
