You know, these things aren't really that difficult to use, once you get used to it.

[Martel gives a little wave into the camera and a bright smile.]

Well, it's been a busy first day! I won't bore anyone with the details, but I wanted to introduce myself and make both an offer and a request, so here we are.

My name is Martel Yggdrasill. I was a healer back home, so if you get hurt, please don't hesitate to call on me. I know there's a doctor in town, but if you're closer to (INSERT FARM PLOT HERE), you might as well come down and see me.

Anyway, I'm trying to get an orchard started, but I've run into the slight complication of funds. I'm not necessarily asking for a loan or anything, just some advice as to how to best scrape together some... seed money.

[And the entire spectrum of humor groans in pain.]

If you're curious as to how quickly my efforts will... bear fruit, well, I have something to show you.

[Another terrible pun is followed by her promptly turning her device to take in a... full-grown apple tree. With several ripe, juicy looking apples already hanging from it.

Well, the answer to that is "sort of". Starting from a seed rather than a sapling requires both myself and the future tree to take more time to fully grow it. The saplings allow me to accelerate the process much more, without risking things like damaging the tree as it grows.

Still, the seeds can definitely be of use. If I just grew them to sapling size and left them to recover from the accelerated growth for... oh, a week or so, I think that might work.

Zhat might still get you income if you're selling zhe seedlings at a decent price. You haf zhe trees already to provide you vith seeds...

Zo, if you just did saplings, vouldn't zhat be a start? You could haf your own plant nursery und make money zhat vay.

Oh now, that's an interesting idea. Grow them to sapling size, sell them off, continue... With all the apples I'm getting, I could have a significant inventory very quickly.

My dream is to haf an entire farm made of fruit trees at some point und I need to start zomevhere.

That is a dream I am more than happy to help along, Miss Rip. I'll start planting the seeds soon, and I'll send out a message when enough of the saplings start growing that I think I'll be able to meet demand.
