[It was so surreal. He was pretty sure he took a nap in the church after he gave a sermon and served confessional hours. Then he closed for the day, read the good old book that only the priests and nuns could care about, and then took a nap. Yup, totally doing his job all right. It is normal to wake up on a bus where you're the only passenger on board?
He woke up on the bus, and then the bus broke down, so he walked on foot on the rest of the way. And then gotten lost on his way to find his own farm lot...and couldn't find it. Yup, he's that terribly lost. He's not good with maps.
Well, making a network post.]
Hello? Can anyone hear me? My name is Father Abel Nightroad, I'm a humble priest at your service. Lord have mercy on me, it's hot out here and I'm sweating out here, and all of this sun is giving me a terrible headache. Where can I find a cheap inn I can stay at? Because I can't find my own farm. I have to walk on foot to get here to this valley because the rest of the buses conveniently broke down, isn't that swell?
And what's this? A festival? I hope I'm not too late. Is the food free? I don't have any money on me, but I assure you, I will pay you back. Of course, if you're a kind soul who believes in charity and helping this old man out, bless your heart. All I wanted is a bottle of water or even better-iced tea, and then maybe a bowl of soup, that would be swell.
You see, I'm not asking much! Seriously, I ran out of money though. How much a loaf of bread cost? Lord, I couldn't find the grocery store either!
[He will be on his way to the festival. He hoped to get there if there are any vendors left serving food. For free, he prayed.]
Actually, I wanted baked potatoes or pizza or even curry, that would be better and more filling...
[OOC: Intro post + festival post in one post. He is fashionably late, so most of the vendors must be gone by now, and people packed up and left. Unless your character is there at the festival. Also, if you want CR with him, let it be known here or discuss permissions! (Just scroll down a bit). He will be a future pastor at a church eventually or run a book store. And yes, he's a priest by profession, a clergyman, so Father is his title. For now he wants a free meal and a place to stay...until he locates his farm.]

[By now, he was greatly helped by the townspeople who lend him a hand by giving him what he needs. When his phone rang to alert him of a text sent to him.]
"Hello? Hello? Why yes indeed. Thank you for asking! The townspeople here kindly gave me the address. I'm going to help myself to the festivities before I check-in into the nearest inn. I thought I have to pay, but it looks like I can give them an IOU until I figure out a job to pay back.
Oh forgive me, I'm rambling! It just that folks around are too kind, much too kind! It's something to get used to. How do you do?"
text;
Hello. That’s very good to know. The people here are certainly kind. And the festival’s well planned, there’s food and games and music... an unexpectedly pleasant welcome, considering the circumstances.
My name is Fia. If you need any more help, please just send me a message.
text;
Ms. Fia. It's nice to meet you. I'm Abel. Father Abel Nightroad. Well, I'm going to find my way around. I travelled a long way here. The bus ride is actually comfortable until it broke down.
It is a nice warm welcome, especially to a weary traveler like me. This valley has a charm by itself. It's so...rural, rustic, and natural. How does this place make you feel? Do you plan to stay as a home away from home, Ms. Fia?
Ah, forgive me for rambling again. The people are so talkative and lively. I lived in a big city of Rome, and even in the big city I felt lonely. I think the countryside would be a nice change of pace. Less noise and more trees, you know?
text;
This place is beautiful. A nice change of pace, as you said. I would love to stay, if I weren’t needed elsewhere.
You have nothing to apologize for. I quite enjoy your messages, to be honest.
text;
Gotcha. I hoped to see you around once I get more settled here...and hopefully, find my assigned farm plot too. I hope you have a pleasant evening, Fia.
text;
Good morning, Father Abel. I must apologize for the delay of my response, I was more tired than I thought. I hope I didn’t keep you waiting last night, and that I’m not interrupting anything this morning. Did you sleep well?
[ Fia, it’s like, really early. Just a little after sunrise. Of course you’re interrupting.
She’s standing out on her farm by then, taking in the view, and preparing for her morning training ritual. Because she’s dedicated like that. ]
I’ll be heading to town later today. Perhaps you would like some help in getting settled into your farm?
text;
[He didn't seem to noticed the late text, but he did found his farming lot much late at night since he couldn't hardly sleep at the inn at all. His farmlot, which is a mess heap of weeds, dead logs, and rocks. He found tools in the shed, and they're heavy and second-used, probably by the previous occupant...which he has to buy a new set of his own tools much later from the blacksmith.
Wiping off the sweat of his brow with his handkerchief.]
Good morning, Ms. Fia. No need to apologize. I'm a late riser myself. I used to wake up as early as 5am in the past, but in my old age, I don't see what's the hurry and woke up around 8am, quite a record! The good warm weather here in the valley will surely make anyone like yourself feel sleepy!
I slept well! You didn't interrupt anything, my dear.
I'm doing pretty well settling down...it just that there's a lot of work needed to be done and really getting my hands dirty just to clear out unwanted rubbish like the weeds and rocks. I think I'm doing fine.
I'm curious about you. If you would like, I'll be free for the afternoon, so how about a luncheon in a café in town and I'll be able to meet with you? Then you can show me what you know about the valley.
text;
That's good to know. The weather here is certainly nice.
I haven't been here long enough to provide you with reliable information about the valley, but I would love to meet you.
I can also help you clear out your farm afterwards?
text -> Action?
[Hours later, when afternoon arrived.]
"I'm in town already, so if you want to join me for lunch, I'll be at one of the cafes. I was going to have a hot sandwich and chips with iced tea."
[And he texted her the coordination and location of where he's going to eat for the entire lunch hour, and if Ms. Fia went, he is indeed inside the shop, eating his lunch.
He's a tall man with long silver hair, wearing glasses, tied in a ponytail with a black ribbon, and he wears priest attire.]
action!
When she finally comes up to his table, she bows a little, mostly because she’s not sure if she should curtsy or salute. As both a noblewoman and a soldier, she’s had her fair share of doing both. ]
Hello, Father Abel. It’s nice to finally meet you. I’m Fia.

It's nice to meet you. So you're Fia. It's an honor to have your company. Would you like anything, Fia? Coffee or cake, perhaps? It will be on me.

The pleasure is mine, Father Abel.
And hot chocolate would be wonderful.
[ He might learn eventually that it’s a family favorite, since there are others from her clan in the valley. They just haven’t run into each other yet. ]
Did you enjoy the festival?
