action/video (in which a young noble boy is profoundly stupid)
[Action]
[He'd left notes for Undertaker and his father, and for Sebastian. Though the trip to drop off that second note had ended with a miserable, and very sniffly retreat, from the demons farm. Basically, he just let them know that he was going to look into the mines and he'd be fine.
With the money converted from what he had back in Riverview, he purchased a sabre and hung it from his waist. It's heavier than the foil he'd used during his fencing lessons but he's sure enough of himself that he doesn't ask for anything lighter. And, even though he's no noble here and dresses far more comfortably, he still holds himself like one as he walks through town to purchase the weapon and then head to the mine.
Inside, he does wish he were a little better prepared. It's darker than he's used to and he's not very handy with a pick. Not that he'd brought one, he really had only meant to have a look. But, by sheer luck, he finds himself a few levels in and...
on an infested floor of the mine. And too tired to really fight his way back.]
I was wrong, I can't handle it. This section is brimming with monsters.
[Ciel can be seen, very clearly in the mines. He's managed to find a quiet and relatively safe corner and, thankfully, seems otherwise unharmed.]
I'm block off from the ladder out though...

Is that it? You wanted to help out? Goodness, milord. You could just as easily have helped me to water the crops this morning. I haven't had a chance yet to get the sprinklers ordered.

It didn't feel like enough. [Comes a little grumble.] Considering everything else you've done for me.

What? Do you mean leaving you at arm's length, letting an unknown assailant very nearly take out you and your entire family? Why yes, I've done quite enough for you. [He holds out his hand, inviting Ciel closer, smiling even though he'd just cut himself deep with that one.] Come, milord. If you feel so inadequate you would brave a place like this on your own, let me help you sort it out.

There's a little frown at that comment as he moves up to Undertaker's side, knowing he has no concerns now that the reaper's there with him.]
No one could have predicted that. No one could have known they would attack on our birthday. [A little nod though.] You can handle them better than I can.

I suppose not, but that doesn't mean it should have happened. Would you prefer to return home now?

Could we, please? This whole adventure has been awhile.
