action/video (in which a young noble boy is profoundly stupid)
[Action]
[He'd left notes for Undertaker and his father, and for Sebastian. Though the trip to drop off that second note had ended with a miserable, and very sniffly retreat, from the demons farm. Basically, he just let them know that he was going to look into the mines and he'd be fine.
With the money converted from what he had back in Riverview, he purchased a sabre and hung it from his waist. It's heavier than the foil he'd used during his fencing lessons but he's sure enough of himself that he doesn't ask for anything lighter. And, even though he's no noble here and dresses far more comfortably, he still holds himself like one as he walks through town to purchase the weapon and then head to the mine.
Inside, he does wish he were a little better prepared. It's darker than he's used to and he's not very handy with a pick. Not that he'd brought one, he really had only meant to have a look. But, by sheer luck, he finds himself a few levels in and...
on an infested floor of the mine. And too tired to really fight his way back.]
I was wrong, I can't handle it. This section is brimming with monsters.
[Ciel can be seen, very clearly in the mines. He's managed to find a quiet and relatively safe corner and, thankfully, seems otherwise unharmed.]
I'm block off from the ladder out though...
[Help...]

if I need to change this, lemme know!
You're sure you don't need a little help there yourself? They're rather benign from a distance, but if they spot you, they're likely to want a close up.

Well then! It seems we have quite a force teaming up for this rescue!

Ah, I'm fine. Thank you, father..?
[He has Undertaker and the priest and now the Pandaran with them.]
I think I'll be quite well protected now.
[He really does have a bit of a force forming for his rescue, doesn't he? If he had the kind of ego he had back in England, he might have been a little smug at forming such a group. Instead, he's a little embarrassed. So many people seeing how incapable he is.
And he's trying to add some humor to his situation. Even if he doesn't fully feel it and just wants to hide under some blankets for awhile. Until his shame is forgotten.]

It seems you are.

[So Ciel's rescue party is a priest, a reaper, a pandaran, and a galactic imperial warlord...with room for more whoever wanted to join.]
[Answering Ciel's question.] Oh hello? Yes, my child. I'm Father Abel, pleased to meet you. Yes, we're here to rescue you! Erm yes, everyone needs help including myself.
[Abel gives a few slimes a quick kick and killed it dead while shaking the goo off. The priest will have to pray for its soul later...]
It's good to fight every now and then, but next time if you go to the mines, form and organized a party to go with you. It's much safer in numbers.

[But he'll hold off for now. These others are unfamiliar to him and he wants to see what they do.]
I don't see getting anyone who needs help out of the mines now, not with so many of us here. Shall we get started?

[Chen flexes his paws, though they've done enough damage on the way in that there is little left to pummel in the here and now.]
Yes, let us get our young friend back out to daylight.
no subject
Persistent, aren't they?
[ Spotting Abel, she nods in greeting, one brow lifting at the sight of his slime-covered clothing. ]
There are more starting to come this way, so we'd better hurry.

Worrying about people is exhausting.]
I don't think you'll have to worry, Father Abel. I don't intend on repeating this mistake.
[He looks at the rest of his companions and, for a moment, considers putting away his sword. And then decides against it, not wanting to appear as useless as he probably is in comparison.]
Hurrying sounds nice. Let's get the hell out.

Normally I would say after you, milord, but I think it best in this case to allow us to go first. [In his case, only a few steps ahead, if even that. He has a suspicion Ciel will want to stay near to him. He reaches a hand out to settle on the boy's shoulder blade and guide him along.] We'll make short work of this.

[Suiting action to words, he motioned the others forward, ready to defend them from behind.]
