Alright, to anyone who was looking for cuttings or saplings from my apple tree, I have several ready and potted to bring home. Please come to [INSERT FARM HERE] at your earliest convenience if you still want them. Any spares will be planted here to continue the growth of the orchard.

Speaking of which, I've branched out- [Martel] into oranges as well. Thank you to everyone who's purchased one of my apples or anything else from my farm, I wouldn't have been able to do it without you. Certainly not so quickly. Next on my list is peaches, so watch for those!

Anyway, aside from orchard-related news, I've been thinking about something. I've encountered quite a surprising amount of people with abilities and skills related to healing and medical treatment in general, several of us from very different disciplines. [From pure technology to magical healing hair, the valley's got it all, it seems.]

Yet, to the best of my knowledge there's no real organization among us. Allow me to be the first to advocate for everyone who has any sort of medical skill to come together, have a meeting, perhaps, where we can share information and let each other know who we are, where we're located, and how to get in contact with us. We certainly can't take over the hospital itself, but with a bit of effort, we might be able to head off many difficulties, and I'm sure we have much to learn from each other.

You believe I should charge more? It's a difficult balance to strike, I'll admit, but I am still making a profit at this price.

[Could she be making more of one? Sure, but really, once she's got a few more trees she won't be using that much money anyway. Her initial investment's high, but her continuing costs really aren't.]

There are a lot of things to consider. First of all, how long does it take for you to make one of these?

[ Sasuke might become a wanted man if he actually convinces her to raise the price. ]

Well it took me a few weeks to get them all to their current state, but given how many I have, if you divide it up... About a day or two if I focused solely on a single one. That wouldn't be very efficient, of course.

[Which of course means it wasn't efficient for her to rapid-grow her first one, but sometimes there are things more important than spreading her energies sensibly.]

So, you are earning 600 gold a day at best. You really don't see a problem with that when a meal's portion of rice costs 200 gold?

[ It's even worse than he thought! Demand may be high now, but what about after everyone has a tree of their own growing? It's not a sustainable wage to him. ]

If this were my primary source of income, yes. But that honor goes to my fruit and what I'm tapping out of the trees that were already there, the syrup, tar, and resin. This is purely a side business to support me getting the remaining saplings I need to get my orchard off the ground.

[Practically a hobby, really.]

[ Sasuke sighs. It's going to be too much of an effort to explain the ins and outs of supply and demand and the like. ]

Well, I guess if it's something you're doing on the side, then it's not as bad. I still think you need to at least reevaluate the price down the road.

I'll take that under advisement. Perhaps this will end up being a one-time sale, as my first efforts.

[Just... casually accepts that. Ninjas are kind of a fact of life where she comes from, rare but she knows of a few.]

Miss Fujibayashi, huh. I'd appreciate that.

[ It'd be nice to hang with someone who knows the ninja life. He's been hanging around a samurai far too much lately. ]

As it happens, she did arrive just recently. Serendipitous, no?

Yeah. By the way, she's not a Iga ninja, is she?

[ Because Iga ninja are losers. Koga ninja are the best ones. ]

I'm... not entirely certain that's a thing in my world.

[She knows ninja exist and she knows Sheena's one. Beyond that, not exactly her wheelhouse.]

What exactly is an Iga ninja?

It has to do with where and what school a ninja's from. I'm a Koga ninja. Iga ninja are kinda our rivals in a way.

Well... she's not from your world, she's from mine. So I can basically tell you with entire certainty that she's neither.

[ So... no Koga or Iga in her world, but there are ninja. That is... interesting. ]

Huh, you don't say. I wonder what different skills a third ninja school has.

Well, I know she fights largely with specialized paper seals infused with elemental powers. Does that help?

It does. We could teach each other a lot.

[ Or not teach each other. Ninja can be secretive like that if the mood takes them. ]

That sounds lovely. Just as I hope to learn from my fellow healers, and teach them what I can.
