[Introspection]
[Well, this was a weird way to start the day. When Bedivere had gone to sleep, he was in Chaldea. The next thing he knew, he was sitting on a moving bus. And that wasn't the end of it, oh no.
To make a long story short, he's spent the past hour or so being introduced to his new home here in town. Apparently the small farm he's standing on right now belongs to him, or so he's told. He's got a run-down house, the remains of a greenhouse, a cluttered field, a set of old tools, and a bag of radish seeds. But most importantly, he knows that he can go home any time he wishes and none will be the wiser.
And that last bit got him thinking. When was the last time he was truly able to make an earnest living? He's spent so long traveling and fighting for humanity that he's almost forgotten what it's like to remain in one place and live in peace. Perhaps, just perhaps, this is something he needs right now. And if it isn't, then he can just return to Chaldea and things will go back to normal.
And he's not alone. Other people seem to be in the same boat. Might as well see about meeting some.]
[The video feed shows a young-looking, handsome man, wearing what appears to be armor on his upper body.]
Hello, everyone. I saw people were introducing themselves, and thought I should probably join them.
My name is Bedivere.
[He'd normally be more cautious about giving out his true name, but he's curious to see how many people will make the connection to the King Arthur mythos. Plus this place is supposed to be peaceful.]
I happen to be one of our newest arrivals, and have just been shown to where I will be living. I must admit, I had no expectations of having to do farm work when I awoke this morning!
[He smiles after making that remark. It feels so quaint to him to end up farming.]
But I have faith I can do a good job. I'm afraid I only have a few radish seeds now, but hopefully I can start selling vegetables to the town soon enough.
Feel free to contact me at any time, either in person or online. I look forward to meeting new faces.
[With that, the feed ends.]
[Action]
[After making his broadcast, Bedivere gets to work. He has to clean off a patch of land in order to plant his seeds, so he pulls out his axe, pickaxe, and sickle and gets to work cutting up grass and weeds, cutting down trees, and breaking apart rocks.
Once he's cleared a decently-sized portion of land, he stops. Really, he could clear the entire parcel of land in one go if he wanted to, but it's probably better to do it step-by-step. Instead, he gets his hoe, watering can, and seeds, and starts to till the ground and plant the radish seeds.
There are two things notable about Bedivere during all of this. The first is that, despite the hot summer sun bearing down on him the entire time, Bedivere is working in the very same armor he arrived in. He has shed no part of it in order to work. The second is that his right arm is clearly artificial, looking at the designs on the forearm and the joints. It also appears to be made of pure silver.
Anyone is free to approach him at any point as he works.]

Video;
Woah woah, dude you have like.. knight armor on? Seriously?
[Tim laughs out loud, his own video feed pointing haphazardly toward himself as he fiddles with something off camera.]
What do you like that-- fuck, what is it called, B&B stuff too much? [He means Bunkers&Badasses, which is just a fake DnD clone don't worry about it.]
Re: Video;
S-Sorry, what? I have no idea what you're talking about.
[He's familiar with a lot of things that a knight normally wouldn't be, but tabletop roleplaying? Definitely not one of them.]
--Ah, but why is it so strange that I'm wearing armor?
no subject
[Tim laughs a little.]
No offense or whatever, but ain't that pretty clunky to do farm work in anyway?
no subject
[He'll buy more, but he needs money to do that.]
...As for farmwork, well...to be honest, I can't say. I have never tried. However, I can move and fight with ease in it, so I'm hopeful.
[Good old A+ Agility.]
I suppose there's only one way to find out.

Action
Today wouldn't have been any different, had it not been for the sudden presence tugging within him. He heads towards the source instead until he's fully out of the brush, stopping only in his tracks to keep some distance. Friend or foe? He doesn't seem dangerous, but one never knows.]
Who...?
Re: Action
Unlike Asterios, though, Bedivere is able to recognize the other Servant. He hasn't spoken with him much in his time in Chaldea, but he's seen him around. He also notices that Asterios seems cautious. Which means he doesn't recognize him. What that means, Bedivere can only guess.]
Ah...you're Asterios, correct?
[He sets down the pickaxe he was using, leaving his hands empty.]
My name is Bedivere. I am not your foe.
no subject
[His eyes light up somewhat. Even if he hasn't spoken to him, the fact that he knows his name means a whole lot.]
Nice...to meet...you. [His stance relaxes as he comes closer.] Need...help?
no subject
[Bedivere can think of a few reasons why Asterios wouldn't recognize him. Parallel worlds is just one that he's all too familiar with.]
Ah. It, um, wouldn't keep you from anything you need to do, would it?

Re: video
However, Bedivere also knows not to judge a book by its cover, as it was a lesson he had learned firsthand many years ago. So he urges himself through the surprise to reply earnestly.]
Ah! Um, thank you. It's nice to meet you, too.
[Fortunately, speaking helps Bedivere calm himself, so he continues on.]
I appreciate the offer. I'll have to see what my field has to offer first, as I will need to make room to grow crops. Once I have the room, I would be happy to take a look at the seeds you have.
Re: video
[Bedivere is comfortable now, and it shows in how normally he speaks. The initial surprise has worn off, and he now addresses Plo the same way he would address any other person.
In fact, he smiles before adding one more thing.]
Though I will be clearing a larger portion than I originally anticipated, thanks to your offer.
Action
And hold her attention, honestly. Just looking at him in all that armor makes her feel hot in sympathy, despite her thin strappy sundress. That just seems like a bit much!
She doesn't mean to gawk, really, but that's happening. Oops. ]
Re: Action
Lo and behold, there's a woman he's never met watching him. The attention causes his cheeks to turn pink.]
Um...can I help you, milady?
no subject
[ She sets her hands on her hips a little, huffing as she looks him up and down. That sure does look like old-fashioned armor; the sort of thing that Izayoi might make on a whim. (If the man ever had whims. She's still not sure about that.) She's never seen anyone wear something like that outside of dramas or movies, and this place doesn't really seem like the sort to have a booming film industry.
And given the sorts of people she's seen here, it's probably genuine. ]
I'm hot just looking at you! Aren't you worried about the heat? Working hard is good, but you should be taking care of yourself, too!
no subject
[Well, Bedivere wasn't expecting that kind of a reaction. He's rendered speechless for a few seconds as his brain works to come up with something to say.]
W-well, this, um...this isn't the first time I've been out in the heat like this. I had to travel through a desert dressed in my armor before.
[Which is true, he had to wander through a portion of the Egyptian Sahara in the middle of a sandstorm. And that was when he was still human!]
I...do appreciate your concern, though. But I'll be OK.

Action
In contrast, she's dressed in her plainclothes herself. She'd greeted the other Servants that way, and it'd worked out; none of them have any desire to fight, no need to get serious. And of course a Servant isn't going to be imperiled by heat stroke or anything, no matter how much they're wearing. But there's still something about seeing all that armor being worn for field work, especially in contrast to Medusa's jeans and sleeveless sweater . . .
(Not that she's doing field work. She was headed back to her own farm with a small shopping bag. She could have just stepped off any modern city street.)
She just has to say something about it.]
. . . You stand out, dressed like that. You aren't uncomfortable?
Re: Action
But once Medusa comes into view, he does stop and look up...to see another face he's seen around before, in Chaldea. But she doesn't seem to recognize him, judging by her expression.]
Ah...you mean my armor? I'm afraid I have little choice. It's the only set of clothes I have to my name here, since I only just arrived. I am still able to move in them perfectly fine.
...But I would like to purchase some more suitable clothes soon.
no subject
What really matters here is that he seems to be at ease, even though he must know he's in the presence of another Servant. She relaxes further herself. This is getting to be a real good track record of Servants who don't want to fight over evil magic cups.]
It's obvious now that you say it. I was lucky enough to have some clothing with me that doesn't make me stand out as much as I might otherwise. . . . Even in armor, you look like you know what you're doing more than I do in jeans.
no subject
I can attribute that in part to my past. As a knight, I had spent some time traveling between villages, and I had opportunities to both observe farmers at work and contribute to the efforts myself. I am also quite at ease in my armor -- since it's what I wear into battle.
But I confess that having more suitable clothes would be more convenient. Already I've had a number of people question me about my armor. On the other hand, I imagine you have had plenty of people compliment you for how stylish you look.
[And that is an honest compliment from him. He does believe Medusa looks quite good in her current outfit.]

I have some extra flower seeds if you're looking for anything else to plant. They're poppy seeds.
Re: Video
[He wouldn't think of taking seeds from a girl without paying for them.]

[Luckily Bedivere isn't an intimidating person overall. He has a fairly kind aura about him, and he's not surprising her or anything. So for now, she's mostly just worried about him winding up with heatstroke doing all this work in layers of full armor.]
Re: [Action]
Well, I won't deny that it's plenty hot. However, I'll be fine. I've worn this armor in worse conditions than this.
[But now that he has company, this seems like as good a time as any to take a break.]
I do appreciate your concern, however. I'm glad to know that this village is filled with individuals willing to look out for the well-being of each other.
And I am due for a break at this point. So your coming along was fortuitous.
