[ Have a confused ninja on your screens, fellow farmers! Because one second, she's, well--dead. And the next, she's bouncing along on a bus headed to Martel-knows-where.

Okay, a farm. And that very farm can be seen behind Sheena, and from the size and buildings, one can see it's a Standard Farm.

Nothing too big for our ninja. ]

Well, at least this thing doesn't make me choose an alias. [ There's a hint of wry relief in that statement. As she speaks and moves the camera around, it would become apparent that her clothes don't fit her too well--they're pretty loose. And somewhat tattered.

Especially the trailing ends of what appears to be a huge pink bow sneaking out from under her dark purple jacket--which is still closed up despite the heat. ]

Hello, everyone! My name is Sheena Fujibayashi, and I just arrived here! What was that thing, anyway? There wasn't anything like that where I was last, though it kinda looked like an EC. [ Yep, has no idea what a bus is, but can handle the jPad like a pro. ] I'm not too sure about what exactly is going on, but I guess I have a farm now?

[ And she'll just point over her shoulder. ]

I've never run a farm--though I did help with the herb patches back in Mizuho! So, I can definitely grow plants. [ She's kind of wistful about that--like she hasn't seen a plant for a long time. ] I'm not sure where to start, though. Any advice?

[ She starts thanking everyone but stops. ]

Oh. One more thing. I guess we can leave any time? But do you know if we go back home or to the very last place we were?

[She nodded, gesturing to the apple and pear trees.] They should be ready soon so we'll go through the lot and harvest as much as possible.

Ah I see! Well, the parallel world was fairly the same, although it was several years ahead of when I left mine. [She didn't like to dwell on the fact that she had died in her her world from illness.]

Internet is a newfangled invention that connects thousands if not millions of people. I got this strange one that spans dimensions.

All right. Pear!

[ Sheena looks at the number and makes her offer again. ] I'm serious, Pear. I will help you get those because that looks like a lot of work just for one farmer to do. And maybe we can get others to help, since I'd hate to see any of those go to waste.

[ She grimaces slightly. ]

So, you basically got to see your future? [ She shakes her head. ] I'm not sure how I'd feel about something like that. [ So, she's not going to press Pear for information, but if she wants to tell her anything, she's welcome to. ]

It connects... [ She looks at the jPad in her hand. ] You could talk to people in other dimensions?

Yes, considering I usually have help during the apple picking harvest, and I have pears now too which are ready earlier in the summer? I'll put out a request for aid.

[Yeah, well... considering everything...] It was... quite a shock to be honest. I had time to adjust to be honest.

I could, and visit them too, and assume a form more suited for the human-styled worlds.

They are? I didn't know that about pears. [ So maybe Pear will have a little break between harvests to get her breath. ] Which would make having a place for storage pretty handy, wouldn't it?

[ Totally understandable. ] I can only imagine how shocking it was. How long were you there?

Oh, that sounds kind of fun! I mean, you get an idea---whoa. Wait! You can change your appearance?!

Yes, well, my family made a living off of pears. [She nodded and added,] A storage area would be good like a cellar, so I can put the preserves down there where it's nice and cool so it won't spoil.

A few months. I've grown settled into it, but I explore other worlds once in a while whenever I feel like it.

Yes, atually. Hold on. [She lifted her Worldhop Device and shook it a moment. There was a glow and she seemed to stand upright into a woman with light peach colored skin and long red hair wearing a working dress.] There we go. The worldhop device I was told by the new SysAdmin didn't used to do this until now.

They did? And apples, too? [ She stops and turns towards her house. ] I haven't been in the house yet, so I'm guessing there's no cellar? Would an ice house work?

Oh! Is that what brought you here?

[ She's about to say "okay" when Pear glows and starts to change before her eyes. She had seen Mithos "grow up", but this is something completely different! ] You... This didn't do this before?

Are you the only one it does it for?

And apples. Although I married into the family with apples. [She nodded at the question, gesturing to her home.] It has a cool storage in the basement though, which is better than nothing. An ice house would work wonders though.

That's right, also I needed to change up my routine a little.

[Pear smiled and shook her head.] No, the device just used to transport people between worlds. Now there's an adaptation system built into it.

Anyone who I bring over, they need to be touching it though.

Your family grew pears, another family grew apples. Were there other families that grew other fruits? Like grapes for wine? [ She's not mocking. She's honestly curious.

She hums a little. ]

Maybe we can figure something out. I mean, I know winter is a while away, but people where I'm from kept food for a while. I just need to remember how they did it.

[ She's speaking without magic, of course. ]

Change up your routine? Oh! Stop exploring so much? [ She tilts her head. ] So, how does it know what to change your shape to? Does it already know, or do you have to "show" it someone to base it on?

[ She figures someone has to touch it because it's not theirs--kind of like the tablet she had before. No one else could use it but her. ]

Oh yes, there's plenty of themed families in the town where I grew up. Carrot Top grows Carrots, Berry Punch makes wine... there's a whole lot of stuff.

[She nodded, thinking about it.] I was thinking some kind of long term freezing probably.

Ah yes, more or less. I feel like taking a break from it. [She grinned at the question however.] It bases it on me actually. This is how I'd look like as a human, so it would shift you into a pony or any equivalent Equestrian race.

[ Hearing the names of the other families, something finally occurs to Sheena. ]

So, wait! The family that grows apples...their name has "Apple" in it, right?

[ That's pretty cool! ]

Long-term freezing? [ Her voice becomes hollow-sounding for barely a moment. So barely that it may not be noticeable. The twitching of her eyebrows, on the other hand...

She'll just move quickly on. ] You're talking like some kind of machine? [ Those are the only things she can think of that go on for a while. ] Maybe someone around here knows something about those and can help.

[ She starts laughing. ]

I have a friend that never stops exploring. She studies anything and everything--whenever, wherever! She'd probably love to be able what you can. [ And cue a ninja's eyes going wide with delight. ]

A pony? I'd love to see what I'd look like as a pony!

That's right. I named my children Big Macintosh, Applejack and Apple Bloom and there's Granny Smith. My dad however is Grand Pear.

Yes, probably a big freezer to hold fresher fruit. [She looked a little concerned.] Yeah, like that. Some way to chill the apples for storage so they won't go bad.

Makes sense, and sure, I'll come on over and show you how the device works.

[ Sheena smiles. ] Sounds like you have a pretty big family! [ she shakes her head in wonder. ] Three kids... My family is just my Grandpa and me.

[ And her friends--which Pear is becoming one of. ]

How big would you need? Like I said, I haven't been in the house yet, so I don't know just how much room is in there. [ She's fine. Really! ] Too bad there aren't any rivers around here. You might be able to do something with that until then.

[ She looks at the pony in surprise. ]

What? I didn't--I mean, you don't have to!

[ She really hadn't expected the offer and is totally floored. ]

For a while I didn't think I could see my family reunited. I guess I was wrong, having traveled to the main-timeline of our world and seeing how everyone was smiling. There's no sad smiles in the Apple family.

Hmm... I'd probably need a storage space about twelve by twelve if we're going with a cellar for preserves.

[She grinned.] Not at all, I'd love to show you how it works.

[ Awkward pause. ]

Uh, Pear? I don't mean to sound nosy, but you're not talking about a typical family reunion, are you? [ As far as she knew, those usually happen on a regular basis. ]

Do you have enough room in your cellar right now for a small supply? I know some cellars can be pretty cold--especially if there's water near them.

[ Sheena returns the grin and nods. ]

Okay! [ Her expression is hesitantly excited. ] Did you want to come over now?

No, it's complicated. A little awkward to talk about but suffice to say it, it's been ten years since I passed away. It's only a stroke of luck that I've been given access to the community otherwise Bright Mac and I wouldn't have survived. [More or less. Sheer force of magic was keeping her alive right now.]

I have enough room yes, there should be enough room to put up some shelving.

Of course, I have lots of time right now.

[ Sheena gives a small, understanding nod. ]

I had a feeling it was something like that. [ And that's all she's going to say on the subject. Because she's kinda going to switch here. ] Bright Mac? I take it he's your husband?

[ Not to mention the inspiration for one of her children's name. ]

That's definitely a start! And I can help you with that if you'd like.

Okay! Here's my farm. [ And she'll send the information over. ] I'll see you in a little bit.

Yes, Bright Mac's my husband. We married a few years ago, though the circumstances of that was a little rough. Our families were feuding. Still are actually.

[She nodded and smiled.] Sounds like a plan then.

I'll see you then! I'll be right there.

[And she's headed on over.]

Oh. That's... I'm sorry, Pear. [ She really doesn't know what else to say. Just let people live the way they want... ]

Just let me know when you're ready, then!

Okay! [ And she'll end the feed. ] As Pear approaches, she'll spot Sheena out by her fence, drawing in the dirt with a stick... ]

[Arriving, Pear was in her human form as she approached Sheena with a wide smile and a wave.] Hey, I made it! This place is so nice, I had to check out a couple of farms on the way in. Sorry for the delay.

Hi!

[ Sheena returns both the smile and the wave as she scuffs her drawing with her foot. She had been imagining how'd she'd look as a pony. ]

That's no problem! I'll probably take a walk later to check things out myself! [ Oh, Pear. If only you knew the seed you just planted with her!

She tilts her head and looks at her curiously. ]

But why are you in your human form?

[ Be yourself, Pear! ]

Oh, well, I wanted to try it out. I'm a little unsteady right now but I'll get used to it.

[Pear grinned, giggling as she asked,] So are you ready to become a Pony?

Oh! Would you like to sit down? I don't have any chairs, but there are steps?

[ Forgive her, she's trying. ]

Actually, I am! [ Blushing, she points to the scuffed drawing. ] I was trying to see what I would look like.

I should be able to stand, since we'll be changing soon.

Well then...! [Pear smiled as she held out the device.]

Just place your hand atop it, and concentrate on your self image. You'll transform into a pony in a blink of an eye.

Okay. If you're sure.

[ of course she is. It's her device... ]

Uh...Like this? [ Despite her excitement, Sheena's still hesitant and slowly places her hand on top before closing her eyes and concentrating. ]

Yes, and then now... blip!

[And blip, they changed into ponies.] How do you feel?
