Action
[It’s morning. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and there are two new arrivals around town who seem convinced that something very suspicious is going on here. Dressed in what can only be described as tactical gear, they’re clearly some kind of military, and appear to be acting accordingly. In a situation like this, the best course of action is obviously to fall back on instinct in an attempt to get to the bottom of whatever this is supposed to be. For these two, that means proceeding with caution.
Clearly there’s nothing questionable about two men carrying big guns through farms and fields, speaking to each other quietly as if to keep from being overheard. Keeping together, never straying far from the other, or lingering too long in a single area. Not at all questionable, or scary, or yeah no what are these two idiots doing.
They’re doing recon, of course! And they’re fairly thorough about it, methodically searching, poking around, overturning anything that looks questionable and possibly pointing guns at it. Was that thing yours? Sorry, it’s being inspected now. Do you live in this house? No problem, they’re just going to check around back. See or experience anything strange during your stay? No? Are you sure?
Or maybe you just come across them while going about your business. They’re obviously friendly with each other, even if they’re regarding everything else with some degree of wariness. It seems like a great idea to approach, if only to ask what the heck they think they’re doing.]

Fortunately, McCree shows up in time to stop any self-defenestration, and Karamatsu hops up from his spot at the kitchen table. HIS HERO. THANK GOD.]
Jesse!
[AHEM. Be cool, this is fine, everything is fine. Finally, some degree of familiar comfort. He's just gonna slip his shades back on and lean on the table like he owns the place.]
Heh... hey.
no subject
[He'll set the bag on table, then lean in and lower his voice.]
...Did Jack or Gabe see you come in?
[Dear reader it would be natural to assume McCree asks as if to spare himself the embarrassment of being acquainted with someone like Karamatsu Matsuno... but no, no, this is McCree asking as if to spare himself the acquaintance two of closest authoritative figures in his life currently present like any self-respecting (???) young man would.
And surely they are not far.]

Those two? Yeah... they took my gun hostage, so I couldn't leave to find you.

Wait what kind is it?

It was a one-of-a-kind rifle. Ah, it's a shame I couldn't show it to you... [He puts his hands in his pockets, finally regaining some of his casual confidence. Or his mask of it? One and the same with him.]
Heh. But no common gun would ever do it again for you once you saw it, so maybe this is for the best.

Hey ya'll, where's this poor fellow's rifle at?! I wanna' have a look!

[Jack is right on the other side of the wall and he's not giving up the gun.]

Everything was under control!

[He'd gone and looked to make sure no one had been hurt. Gabriel wasn't even yelling, he was leaning against that frame in clear damn sight.]
Want to be impressive with a gun? Learn actual gun handling. Not getting it back until you've learned, and if McCree wants to argue that he can go repair the damage done himself while you're getting lessons. [Pointedly foot set down there.] Once that's over?
You can have it back, and get further lessons in how to use that thing.

[Any protest turns into a drawn out confused whine and he slouches. There's a lot to unpack as his superior lays it all out. Karamatsu didn't know how to use a gun...? Or was he just goofing around and Jack and Gabe caught him at a bad moment and took it as inexperience? Either way, there's a fresh hole in the barn, apparently, and McCree's 99.9% sure he's going to end up fixing it anyway. He passes Karamatsu a quick glance of sudden exasperation before directing it at Gabe.]
Come on boss, how's anyone supposed to learn how to use a gun if you take it away from them?
[Maybe some small part of him relates, having handled guns since he was so little and with no one telling him otherwise.]
no subject
[Of course Karamatsu would be allowed to learn with the gun that had been taken, he just wouldn't be able to keep it until it seemed he knew how to handle it better than he'd shown in the first place.
The look did nothing but get the usual scowl aimed at McCree that much more, head tilted to one side.]
Think he should help you with repairs, since he's the one who did the damage?

no subject
...Except the look he's getting in return isn't quite the one he wanted. Um. H...hm. Okay. Confidence gone. He wilts under his stare and stares at the ground.]
Y-yeah... I'll fix it... Uh, you're sure it was me?
no subject
Shoulders relaxed, even if his arms remained folded, letting out a huff of air as he shot a quick glance back at Jack. Gabriel was honestly going to leave the gun control in his hands unless he didn't want full responsibility of proceeding forwards.
They both had their own strengths and weaknesses when it came to things, after all. Reason they worked together so well.]
Like I said, no shame in getting better. Or taking responsibility.
no subject
But it's fine, because Karamatsu can happily agree with one thing: he is a very good man. That's why he's going to go through with these outrageous demands.]
Heh... Not only will I improve myself, I'll make sure your barn looks better than ever. That's a guarantee!
[Hope you guys want his ugly mug painted all over the side of the barn. With roses and sparkles and some kind of cheesy inspirational quote.]
