Who: Bridge Nocturne and Scrooge McDuck (A)
What: After a night of heavy drinking, Bridge comes to check on the other Scrooge in case he's hungover.
When: Morning
Other information: The morning after this thread and this post.
[After hearing about the amount of drinking the two Scrooges had done the previous night, Bridge wasn't all that surprised to find his uncle Scrooge hungover. He helped take care of him as best as he could, but he knew that it also meant someone else would need a bit of help, whether he would admit it or not.
It's why Bridge finds himself that morning heading to the familiar farm, once again ignoring the signs that warned off other people. He keeps an eye out for the stubborn old duck on the farm, remembering his uncle's warning that he might try to work despite the terrible headache he was bound to have.]

[And time is money, after all.
He’s careful as he waters the garden, making sure each plant is watered well enough without giving them too much.]

[He hobbles out with the basket hooked around his arm. Fortunately he only scrubs out the barn and coop every other day. Otherwise, it would be a bad day all around.]
[And going to shuffle towards his porch.]
no subject
All finished. Is there anything else you need help with?
no subject
I'll handle it. Just need to take a few minutes.
[And sitting down painfully. He's glad at least part of the job is done so he can focus his energy on the rest of it.]
no subject
I can help, if you want.

[He sees the bottle of water and grimaces. He really doesn't want to try putting anything into his stomach right now, not even water.]
Go home to your Scrooge. Make sure he gets my message.
no subject
I will. But you can't do everything with as bad as your headache is. At least not as quickly.
Just lemme help out a bit more. Then I'll go home and give Uncle Scrooge your message.

[Take that water bottle away from him and go.]

I thought I told you not to talk. I don't need help.
[Stubborn.]

[He puts his head down between his knees, breathing slowly in and out of his mouth.]
...Check the garden for anything ripe.

[Placing the water bottle by Scrooge's feet, he heads back to the garden to check for anything to harvest.]
no subject
[And now to fill up the wash tub for all this. Hooray. At least the water will feel good.]

Luckily he's also able to research information on the smart device they were given. Thank goodness for technology.]

Victory gardens in WWII were useful for learning how to grow basic vegetables.][Also still ignoring that cooler. Yup. Just gonna wash his clothes by hand.]

Leave them on the counter in the kitchen. I'll put them away once I'm finished.
[He shoots the young man a glare.]
Don't go poking your nose around in there.

[As he heads inside, though, he grabs the cooler to bring it with him.
And he does leave the vegetables on the counter, as instructed. But he also leaves the food he'd brought Scrooge for breakfast, as well as some additional food for him to make future meals.
He also leaves a note hidden among the food before heading back outside.]
no subject
You should go back to your Scrooge. You've got a message to deliver.
[He's embarrassed enough and just wants to hide.]
no subject
All right. I'll head out.
[He picks up the water bottle still on the porch steps. He doesn't feel bad about drinking this one since he'd left a few more on the counter for him anyway.]
I'll see you. Try to take it easy, okay?
no subject
[He'll be spending the rest of the afternoon washing and hanging up the laundry on a clothesline. And when he gets into the house, he's going to find the food from Bridge's cooler.]
...Blast it. Stubborn lad.
[He can't just throw this out. He could heat it up later if necessary. What he can't eat can be composted. But for now, he begins putting the food away, sighing as his head pounds.]
[Then he finds a note: "I bought these for you, so please don't waste them". He sighs.]
I told you you didn't know me.
[He throws away the note but doesn't toss out anything. He remembers starving, so he won't deliberately waste food.]
[Bridge will likely try this again. And next time, Scrooge won't let him. He doesn't want the illusion that someone cares. He's done pretending.]
