What: After a night of heavy drinking, Bridge comes to check on the other Scrooge in case he's hungover.

[After hearing about the amount of drinking the two Scrooges had done the previous night, Bridge wasn't all that surprised to find his uncle Scrooge hungover. He helped take care of him as best as he could, but he knew that it also meant someone else would need a bit of help, whether he would admit it or not.

It's why Bridge finds himself that morning heading to the familiar farm, once again ignoring the signs that warned off other people. He keeps an eye out for the stubborn old duck on the farm, remembering his uncle's warning that he might try to work despite the terrible headache he was bound to have.]

[He gives another grunt to send the lad off. He doesn't want the kid to think he can just come back whenever. Even if he had been of some help.]

[He'll be spending the rest of the afternoon washing and hanging up the laundry on a clothesline. And when he gets into the house, he's going to find the food from Bridge's cooler.]

...Blast it. Stubborn lad.

[He can't just throw this out. He could heat it up later if necessary. What he can't eat can be composted. But for now, he begins putting the food away, sighing as his head pounds.]

[Then he finds a note: "I bought these for you, so please don't waste them". He sighs.]

I told you you didn't know me.

[He throws away the note but doesn't toss out anything. He remembers starving, so he won't deliberately waste food.]

[Bridge will likely try this again. And next time, Scrooge won't let him. He doesn't want the illusion that someone cares. He's done pretending.]
