The things that come from seeds they sell in town are all fine. Most of the berries you can forage around here too. It's-- [A pause, air sucked in thoughtfully.] I'd avoid all the mushrooms until someone shows you the ones that won't hit you like a punch.

[ Well, they goes a little quiet. ] The point is-- the mushrooms might be edible? That's news to me. Let me guess - the glowing ones are right out?

Other than that, it's pretty easy to determine what food is good for people. if y'all not feeding it to your talking dog, then that's good nuff for you.

As for the rest, that's getting pretty philosophical, don't you think? To me, the important part is being in the here and now! That's the "present."

That is a strange thing, yes. [He actually sounds genuine here.] I often wonder why.

Perhaps I have answers, and perhaps I do not. As I said, the question is dependent: firstly, on what you happen to be, and secondly where--or when--you happen to be from.

The second question is less definable. Unless you're from this place's future, the answer is no, you're in another place entirely from whence you were.
