[ Right. These things can broadcast video and audio - thankfully, the Courier is keeping it on audio, but they're talking into it from near the farm entrances. So can be pestered in-person as well! They've removed their armour for once, and... are short for a Courier. ]

...What food isn't toxic here.

[ After a moment, they decide to add: ] And-- is this really the past?

[ They still don't believe in dimensional travel - but the Courier does think that they could have been sent though time. There's a long amount of silence, before the audio ends. ]

[Listening for solvable questions is a nice way to take breaks from hard work. This is a fairly good one to chime in about.]

The things that come from seeds they sell in town are all fine. Most of the berries you can forage around here too. It's-- [A pause, air sucked in thoughtfully.] I'd avoid all the mushrooms until someone shows you the ones that won't hit you like a punch.

...I've tried the berries - a few of them stay down, but then.

[ Well, they goes a little quiet. ] The point is-- the mushrooms might be edible? That's news to me. Let me guess - the glowing ones are right out?

[whisted]

That's... [To be fair, they might just be imbued with something good and wholesome in a place like this. To be more fair, eating things you couldn't identify was always bad.] ...probably right. Do you know what morels look like?

[shotinhead]

Yeah, I do. But they're... smaller then back in the Mojave. Side-effect of just what this place is, I'd wager.

[whisted]

Should be good, then. They're all right.

[And, because it's easy:] All the fruit trees are fine too.
