"Do you think it was? Well...not yet." He teased, though now that she word it, it gave him ideas. They walked together further down, to see if there is anything else caught their eye.

"To become a full fledge vampire, either you find a willing human partner to give their blood to you or have me willingl to give you my blood and make it a special ceremony. The route will be the same."

But then on a more solemn note. "...unless you're willing to forgive me for having to kill you on that day. Then I'll think about it. That proposal. But being tied forever to me means a reminder that I am forever your Death...and if my presence serves you as that reminder that I wouldn't mind if you rather another mate."

He's giving her a chance. Plenty of chances and openings for her to walk out on him, running away from him, and letting her go unharmed.
