[Toby shrugs] Don't see why. We weren't trying to hide or anything. I'm just pretty crap at doing the whole mingling thing.

[well, okay, maybe she was sort of trying to hide. But that's mostly because Toby's pretty anti-social most of the time, and not really intentionally. It just makes it easier to pretend she's harder than she is.

But she's figuring out pretty quickly it's probably not going to be easy to be hard here, and she doesn't want to think about the implications of that. So, fireworks.

She tips her head a bit, nodding]

Yeah. I don't think I've ever seen this many races in one place. [which is actually a bit overwhelming in itself, which might be why she's glad to just sit] It's cool that everyone seems to be happy to watch the show instead of stabbing each other or something. Wouldn't have lasted long in a lot of places I've been.
