I wouldn't be so sure. Granted, I've not yet an animal that is vulnerable directly to "the magic of friendship" or "love and kindness" unless you count injured or frightened beasts in need of soothing. But a vulnerability to music? That's more common than you might expect.

Besides, there's the possibility that the creatures have a certain level of intelligence. Enough to, say, recognize a threat versus a potential friend, and react accordingly? Really, the problem with that poster is that it simply doesn't tell us enough.

... Assuming it isn't a joke, of course.

Yeah, there's probably enough wildlife around that's docile. But there's also the possibility of it seeing someone coming close to hug it as a threat or a meal. We just had a mass welcoming party, we don't need to follow it with a mass funeral.

They didn't actually suggest getting within bite or claw range, to my knowledge, but I see your point. Those who haven't dealt with wildlife on their own before might have... difficulties.

Still, surely the children around here have found caretakers if they didn't arrive with them...

Kids can be pretty rowdy, the best solution is probably guarding them.
