Who: Midoriya "Deku" Izuku and Yagi "All Might" Toshinori
What: A Reunion of sorts

The walk wasn't long and it was nice. Izuku stayed to the roads and made his way, following All Might's directions to the letter. He came upon the nice plot of land and lookd around. It was nice and he could see the evidence of hard work. He hoped he could get his farm to look like this at some point. He walked toward the house and knocked on the front door. Tea with All Might. This wasn't something he thought would ever happen. At least, not without a thick plate of glass between them.

It could be nice, even if the voice in the back of his head told him otherwise. Told him he was walking into something that wouldn't end well. He shook it off and reminded himself of one simple fact. All Might was the world's greatest hero. His hero, even still. All Might wouldn't let anything bad happen. Even now.

Considering Toshinori had no idea what was going through Izuku's head when he saw him walking up the path, he smiled and opened the door. "Come on in, I hope apple tea is fine. You look well."

Izuku smiled seeing All Might open the door. Even if it was All Might in his more skeletal form. He adjusted the sleeves of his white dress shirt. His usual comfortable clothes had been replaced by formal wear. He nodded and stepped inside.

"That sounds really nice, actually. Thank you, All Might." He looked around the cottage. It was homey. A lot like his own, now that he thought about it. Did the all have the same kind of houses build on their farms?

"Your farm is already coming alone nicely. Do you know what you'll grow yet?"

The layouts for a portion of the farms were the same, even if some of the layouts were different. Some had hills, some had rivers. All Might nodded as he gestured to the table and sat down across from him.

"I'm thinking seasonal vegetables, provided I can get through the first hurdle of the produce being restricted to a shorter growth season. More of a garden than a farm." admitted Toshinori. "How about you?"

Something seemed different about Izuku, maybe more confident? There was talk about people being from different timeframes too.

Izuku sat down at the table and gently took the cup in his hand. He blew on the hot liquid before he raised it to his lips. He gave the sweet apple tea a sip then nodded.

"I'm thinking livestock and flowers mostly. Sunflowers for their seeds and for people to purchase if they want. Herbs too, if I have the room for them," Izuku explained. He smiled again.

"How are you feeling? Your injury. Is it the one you told me about from five years ago? Is it bothering you?"

"Livestock and flowers, I like that idea. If you can put down some bee houses you can also get some delicious honey from them too." added Toshinori.

"Ah, you haven't..." He looked down for a moment. "I guess we haven't reached that part yet. I've been basically dealing with injuries from a fight that almost went poorly. But I triumphed, at great cost."

The green haired boy nodded. He could do that. Bees were a good idea. Honey was sure to be in demand and help get him the money he needed to live comfortably.

The topic change made Izuku's face fall. A battle that almost went poorly but he triumphed. Izuku knew just the fight now. It explained the skeletal appearance and the need for help. His fingers grabbed the cup but he didn't drink.

"...You mean the fight with All for One, don't you? Your battle against Sensei. I know that one," He said softly and took a sip of tea.

"Sensei?" Incredulous, it couldn't be. Toshinori was a sharp man and yet, the thought was making him wince a little, as with his injuries. "Yes, it was that one. I'm recovering from it, I should be back to full health in a couple of days."

"But... here, it's easier for me to recover, relax and smile."

Izuku nodded. He smiled but it wasn't large or bright. It was small and sad. "I'm glad. That you'll be healthy again in no time," He said first. He wanted to say that part first because it seemed someone hadn't spoken up yet.

The fool.

"I guess Kaachan hasn't told you yet. He figured it out. Said he was going to save me. I'd thought he would have told you. All for One is my Sensei. I've been a secret member of the League of Villains before the entrance exams. I was one of their spies inside UA. Until recently. That's why I came here. To escape, for a while. I know this means we're enemies but I still want to help you. You're my hero. How could I not at least offer?" As Izuku spoke, he said it all so nonchalantly. He explained it plainly, emotion creeping into his voice near the end.

Worry seeped into his words. Would All Might be able to stand a villain helping on his farm? Could they put heroes and villains aside while they were here? At least for a time? Izuku wasn't sure and it showed in his eyes. He watched All Might, waiting for his response and expected rejection.

So it was true. It felt like he was staring into a mirror of the young man who he vowed to help raise into the next Symbol of Peace.

And yet...

Taking a deep drink, he nodded. "I accept," said Toshinori. "After all, this place is... charming, I wouldn't want anything to happen to it. So I must set aside my worries, and work side by side with you. And I'm glad. I'm glad I'm still your hero."

There was a sad smile, but he brightened up a little. "Besides, it would be poor sport to pick on a man who just lost his quirk wouldn't it?" He laughed heartily, seconds before vomiting blood into a handkerchief.

Rejection never came. It was acceptance with a smile. It wasn't bright or large like before but it was a smile. He was about to say something when those words cut deep. It would be more than poor sport. He couldn't respond since the next thing he knew All might was vomiting blood. Izuku was out of his chair and it clattered to the ground. His hands were on All Might's shoulders and his face had fallen.

"All Might!" He rubbed his hero's frail back. The All Might before him was nothing like his hero once was. Quirkless, small, and clearly fragile. Yet, he was still All Might. Even now.

"Is there anything I can do?" Even as a villain, even now, he cared. His body moved without thinking to try and help someone in need.

"Ah, just *cough* I just need some tissues and a bit of water. Can you fetch it from the sink for me?" he asked, coughing and clearing his throat.

The bleeding was beginning to subside, thanks to the healers who were attending to his needs and yet, he couldn't help but feel like he was already someone to be protected.

"R-Right!" Izuku moved quickly. He opened cupboards until he found the glasses. He filled the glass with cold water and brought it back. He placed it in All Might's hand and watched the hero.

"You're okay now, right? I mean, a little bleeding can't stop you." Izuku said it with as much confidence as he could muster. This was All Might. Even without his Quirk, he was the number one hero even still in Izuku's mind.

"I'll be okay," said Toshinori, clearing his throat and then sipping at the water. The taste of iron as he cleared the blood from his throat was palpable, but he pressed on until the water was downed. "Thank you young Midoriya. I promise I won't be a burden on you all."

"And don't worry, I've actually been worse."

Izuku's face fell into a more neutral expression. He nodded and could believe All Might had had worse but something about the way he said something bothered him.

"I'm a villain and yet here you are saying you won't be a burden. I feel like I should be saying that too. I won't be a burden or a problem. Not here, anyway." Izuku said then returned to his seat. He started to sip his tea again.

"Young Midoriya, even if you are on the opposite side I..." He looked down into his cup, swirling the droplets left on the bottom of the cup. "I know you'll keep your word. This place is too innocent, too pure. I'd like to keep it that way."

"Me too," Izuku responded. He finished his tea while it was warm and set the cup down gently.

"This place doesn't deserve that kind of strife. That's why I came here. To escape it. And..." He chuckled and ran a hand through messy hair. "You have no idea how exhausting it is to try and train the League on teamwork and synergy. It's like herding super powered cats into a bath together."

"I have to admit, they have the teamwork of a herd of cats," laughed Toshinori.

"Thank you, for being so good to me, Young Midoriya."

Izuku nodded in agreement. He was trying to get the League to work better together. Perhaps with All for One gone and Shigaraki acting less like a spoiled child, they could do it.

Maybe.

"Thank you for the same, All Might. No matter what happens, I know you'll always be my hero. I just want other heroes to aspire to be like you. That's all I want." And he'll get it by any means necessary.

"I understand that train of thought," said All Might, folding his hands for a moment. "People are always looking forward to the next big thing. I can only imagine how things will work out in the end."

"You do?" Izuku perked up, excited. All Might understood him? Truly? Then maybe All Might could help. Or give him advice. Maybe this bridge didn't have to be burned here or back home.

"Well, since you understand then I think you'll understand why I want to be come the world's number one villain. So I can help choose the next Symbol of Peace. The hero who defeats me will be able to restore everyone's faith in heroes and help move the world forward."

"I get that," said All Might, thinking clearly about it. With a villain, there would be a established symbol, a number one. Who wouldn't want to establish such a respectful mutual battle.

"I can understand why you want to become a villain. In fact... if it's to make people raise their heads and smile, I can understand that fully. When I inherited One for All, I wanted to make people smile, and look up to a symbol. You want to do that for the next generation. To have the heroes and villains follow in our footsteps. It's... circular. And believe me, I've had a long time to think about this."

Looking at Izuku, he smiled.

The words sink into Izuku's very core. He feels his resolve growing. He can do this. All Might is saying he can do this. He isn't the stupid quirkless boy he was when asked this man if he could be a hero. All Might helped him see that truth. Midoriya's smile grew as he gave a small laugh.

"It's funny. I never thought I would hear those words of encouragement from you. But I appreciate it. So much. I know I can do it if you believe in me. I'll become the world's number one villain. I'll surpass even All for One. I'll step over him and lead the world into a brighter future. A world where the fake heroes fall aside and give up, allowing the true heroes raise up. The next symbol of peace will be worthy of that role. So will the next number one hero. A true hero. A shining beacon for all to follow. It'll be great! I want you to see it too. I want you to live long enough to see the torch passed on.

I want you to approve of the next Symbol of Peace."

"If you asked me, fresh from the battle with All For One, I would have said you were insane but... After a long time to think about things, I have to admit that everyone has a goal."

"Running towards that goal, and learning how to smile, to cry, to laugh and to weap, it's all part of being who we are. In my heart, you are Izuku Midoriya. I know this to be true." He smiled at Izuku, saying, "I want to see the next Symbol of Peace become a reality. And I want everyone to become true heroes. That much is a reality."

Izuku wondered what to say next. He could be mean and say; except him. He was Quirkless and couldn't be a hero. He could be a villain and become something amazing now that he has one. But he didn't want to rub any salt in All Might's wounds. Not now. Instead he smiled wide and nodded.

"You're right. That's all I want to see too. Maybe we can work together, in a way. Both inspiring people our own way. Together, we can make the world a better place. Even if we aren't on the same side back home."

"Well, we'll see what happens in the future." He finished his tea and smiled.

"For now, let's concentrate on the land in front of us."

Izuku in turn finished his and nodded.

"I couldn't agree more. We have a lot of work to do to get your farm up and running."
