mingle - raining cats and dogs (?)
It was a regular day for farming and living and whatever people wanna do - clouds had built over the last few days, but other then a slight bit of rain, things were normal.
Until now.
It began with rain. Just regular rain. Until the rain seemed to shudder and become soft ice. It looked like a mix of rain and snow - and glimmered like diamonds. It wasn't cold, it was just... beautiful. What a strange event...
That is, until a few hours passed. The diamond dust falling from the sky wasn't too weird. Even if it was nearing the end of Summer, it was quite nice. What began next, though? It was even weirder.
Diamonds and other gems had begun to fall from the sky, though they seemed to impact people just like rain. Not painful at all. They were real, at that! Whatever was causing this, it was... well, weird. It wasn't just the people and the outsiders curious about this - Pokemon from the forests and beyond seemed to be coming out into the town. Oddly, they were mostly Zubat and Bidoof... but there's a lot of other Pokemon, curious about the gems! Some of them are even eating them. Please stop.
...though, people not distracted by the Pokemon might notice small apple-like rat creatures. Some of them even seem to be falling from the sky with some squeaking.
The next day, things will be back to normal - any items not picked up will vanish, just as they appeared.

Must give us pause—there's the respect
Ana can't help but be slightly amused - the slowpoke does look like a big dumb baby, after all.]
As long as it keeps away from the crossfire, I think it'll be fine.
Thanks for this, by the way.
that makes Calamity of slow long life:
[ After a few more "flight movements," Sasuke will set the Slowpoke a small distance behind Ana. Even if it starts to move again, it'll be out of her scope's site. ]
I think by the time it decides to walk back and actually get into the crossfire, the day will be over. You be good now, all right?
[ Said to the Slowpoke, of course. ]
For who would bear the pink mons of time,
The slowpoke just emptily smiles at the attention. :D These people are nice.
... what were they doing again?
Ana just snorts, reaches a hand.] I'm Amari. [Then, as if to correct an old habit.] Ana.
the pangs of despised sloth, the Lazy’s delay
He looks at the offered hand, confused for a moment before he gives it a shake. At least, he hopes that's the right gesture for this situation. Yeah, he's obviously not from this time or place. ]
Sanada Ninja Corp's Sasuke Sarutobi, reporting for duty.
[ And the Takeda Army's second-in-command and the leader said ninja corps, but it's a mouthful to say. Let's keep it simpler. ]
When he himself might his quietus make
[ It... does get under your skin. The fact that it looks at the both of them happily - even if with an empty, laissez-faire to its eyes - doesn't help. Ana can't help but want to give it a break--
-- oh, there it goes, towards... is that a lake in the distance?
... except it stops, a blade of grass in front of its eyes and the slowpoke just. stares at it. Destination forgotten.
Ana sighs.]
Does it ever get anything done?
to poke and yawn under a weary life
Well, security is part of my job, but no. I'm actually a ninja.
[ He's really starting to understand that people aren't used to ninja existing. ]
But that the dread of something after sloth
[She knows about Genji, after all. It would make sense he wouldn't be the only one with skills in ninjutsu.] I wasn't aware there was a corporation.
[If asked, Ana wouldn't be too sure about the slowpoke's eating habits, either. Maybe, somehow, there would be some sort of mechanism that would draw food to the creature...
... In fact, she squint when she notices an ant trail forming towards the animal's tail.] What, are you seeing this?
the undiscovered valley, from whose bourn bonds
[ Sasuke is about to correct that he's actually from an army, not a corporation, but Ana's observation stops him. He frowns and crouches down to get a better look. ]
They aren't going to try to eat it alive, are they? It has an empty head, sure, but it's not dying.
[ He thinks it's not at least. No visible wounds or signs of distress. (Could it even act distressed?) ]
The ants are eating... some kind of sap?
No traveler returns, slows the will
[She steps closer, leans in to look closer. It doesn't seem to be hurting, and it's like it doesn't even mind the ants - if it has actually noticed them.
She tries to capture something in the air - maybe the sap has a scent. But doesn't seem to catch anything.] Interesting. I wonder... maybe it's sweet?
[The slowpoke seems to be smiling. Ana can't help the curl on her lip.] I think it likes you.
And makes us rather bear those yawns we have
[ The Slowpoke slowly turns to look at them. The blank smile stays. Does it realize they're talking about it? ]
It's easy to please if all it takes is someone picking it up. Maybe it's tame and belongs to someone.
[ He guesses it could be a pet... A weird one, sure, but there are all kinds of people in the world. ]
Than sleep to others that we know not of?
You were gentle enough with it. I think that's enough. [She muses, crouching. Very carefully, she reaches out her hand at it carefully as you'd do with a cat or a dog. Maybe it will get her scent and find her non-threatening, even if she suspects it was already thinking they were friendly.
Either that or it had a very slow survival instinct. A fight or... walk really slowly in the other direction kind of thing.] I wonder if it's lost. I don't see any other creature of this sort anywhere.
Thus conscience does make dreamers of us all
[ The slowpoke slowly, ever so slowly, takes a step forward towards Ana. Its purpose is a mystery. To everyone. ]
Judging by its skin, it probably lives near water. Maybe it lets the water current take it from place to place.
[ Because walking sure doesn't get it anywhere. ]
And thus the native hue of laziness
She eyes the slowpoke attentively. It could all be a trap.
Maybe. Maybe - hopefully - not.]
Well, it doesn't seem to get anywhere fast without some help.
[She looks over to the stream nearby] Should we leave it here?
Is sicklied o'er, with the pale cast of Thoughtlessness
Sasuke follows her gaze and then looks back to the Slowpoke. It still hasn't reached Ana. ]
It wandered here on its own, so it'll probably be fine.
[ But the tone of his voice betrays his lack of full confidence on the idea. ]
With this regard their currents turn slow
Squinting. It's almost like one part is Mexican standoff, and the other is... a slowpoke, really.]
You sure about that?
And lose the name of Action. Sleep you now
Frowning, Sasuke takes a step closer to the Slowpoke. He's close enough to pick it back up, but he hasn't yet. ]
I'm no expert on this. I can only guess.
The fair Slowpoke! Pokemon, in thy orisons
I think you're not giving yourself enough credit. It let you grab it without much of a fuss.
Be all my naps remember'd
We've run out of subject lines! Oh no!It's strange how one so absentminded could appear to be a mastermind in it's unpredictability. ... Or maybe it's just because they don't know about Pokemon. ]
All right. All right. I'll take it halfway, and it can figure out where it wants to go from there.
[ It's because he has a soft spot for animals that he's not readily abandoning it to its own fate. Sasuke goes to pick up the big baby. ]
STANDING OVATION
TIME TO TAKE A BOW AND GO TO THE AFTER PARTY wow we really did itIt's probably it, that added to the fact that creatures and animals such as these have instincts very different from their own - who knows what a certain gesture may mean, to humans and creatures alike. Ana nods, understanding the need to, somehow, keep the creature somewhat safe.]
Sounds good. I'll stay close, just in case.
Flower bouqets thrown onto the stage
All right, you. You're gonna get another free ride, so consider yourself lucky. I'm not usually so generous, you know.
[ And he's still going to do the gentle swaying, so Hamlet is "flying" through the air. ]
