mingle - raining cats and dogs (?)
It was a regular day for farming and living and whatever people wanna do - clouds had built over the last few days, but other then a slight bit of rain, things were normal.
Until now.
It began with rain. Just regular rain. Until the rain seemed to shudder and become soft ice. It looked like a mix of rain and snow - and glimmered like diamonds. It wasn't cold, it was just... beautiful. What a strange event...
That is, until a few hours passed. The diamond dust falling from the sky wasn't too weird. Even if it was nearing the end of Summer, it was quite nice. What began next, though? It was even weirder.
Diamonds and other gems had begun to fall from the sky, though they seemed to impact people just like rain. Not painful at all. They were real, at that! Whatever was causing this, it was... well, weird. It wasn't just the people and the outsiders curious about this - Pokemon from the forests and beyond seemed to be coming out into the town. Oddly, they were mostly Zubat and Bidoof... but there's a lot of other Pokemon, curious about the gems! Some of them are even eating them. Please stop.
...though, people not distracted by the Pokemon might notice small apple-like rat creatures. Some of them even seem to be falling from the sky with some squeaking.
The next day, things will be back to normal - any items not picked up will vanish, just as they appeared.

[Uwahhh, how amazing! She's been used to snow all her life, but they never looked like this! Or...was it even snow? ANYWAY, she'll be trying to get a good picture or a selfie until she bumps into someone.]
Ah, sorry about that!
B) Shine Bright Like A
[First diamond dust and now...what seemed like jewels and whatnot? What the heck??]
Wait a minute, how is this possible? How can we be sure if they're legit?
C) Wildcard
[Anything else you wanna do with her! She might also be squealing and cooing at the Pokemon.]

That's all right. It's been the theme of the day with everything falling out of the sky.

Yeah. It can't be magic, can it? Since it feels way too big for one person to conjure up something this huge.

It could be a little of both. There are people who can do this sort of thing, you know? Maybe not with gemstones, but they could freeze entire areas.
[ Well, at least some people back home could. ]

[ Walk past someone that's categorising gems as they're falling from the sky. ]
[ Luckily for Weiss, Scarlet is doing exactly that; there's a pretty sizeable basket on one side of her and several smaller ones on the other, into which the tall woman is sorting jewels by colour after a thorough (yet speedy) examination. ]
[ And, of course, she's within listening range of the younger girl's question. What a coincidence! ]
Though some of these are still in need of polishing and refinement, [ comes her response, as she turns over a sizeable sapphire in her hand and glances up for just a couple of seconds, ] they're undoubtedly real. Or, at least, real enough to fool me.

[Her eyes do widen in surprise at just how many gems Scarlet was going through. Gosh, it's honestly incredible?! She'll have to ask her about her skills one day.]
That's good and all, but will the economy be alright? I mean, considering the the mass influx of gems
[Is she worrying
waya bit too much? Definitely.]no subject
[ The redhead looks up once more, this time just seconds before she catches a peculiar, fire-patterned gem in her outstretched palm. ]
However, that does not lower the value of any items that feature them as part of their design, or crafted into proper jewelry. After all, an artisan's skill is largely what determines the value of those things, and for every trained crafter there are at least a dozen aspiring upstarts.
[ Scarlet's lips curl into a warm smile, and she settles the fire stone into a basket, deciding to pause her sorting for right now. After all, it's rude to not pay attention to someone addressing you. ] But I'm certain you didn't need my rambling to understand that, young miss.
