mingle - raining cats and dogs (?)
It was a regular day for farming and living and whatever people wanna do - clouds had built over the last few days, but other then a slight bit of rain, things were normal.
Until now.
It began with rain. Just regular rain. Until the rain seemed to shudder and become soft ice. It looked like a mix of rain and snow - and glimmered like diamonds. It wasn't cold, it was just... beautiful. What a strange event...
That is, until a few hours passed. The diamond dust falling from the sky wasn't too weird. Even if it was nearing the end of Summer, it was quite nice. What began next, though? It was even weirder.
Diamonds and other gems had begun to fall from the sky, though they seemed to impact people just like rain. Not painful at all. They were real, at that! Whatever was causing this, it was... well, weird. It wasn't just the people and the outsiders curious about this - Pokemon from the forests and beyond seemed to be coming out into the town. Oddly, they were mostly Zubat and Bidoof... but there's a lot of other Pokemon, curious about the gems! Some of them are even eating them. Please stop.
...though, people not distracted by the Pokemon might notice small apple-like rat creatures. Some of them even seem to be falling from the sky with some squeaking.
The next day, things will be back to normal - any items not picked up will vanish, just as they appeared.

[... Welp. This is a weird day, and considering the life he's led, that's saying a lot. After a moment, he decides, what the hey? If the sky's giving away free stuff... He flips his hat off, and begins trying to catch a few. Once the hat is full, he dumps it on the ground, and begins separating it into piles.]
And this one will be for Donald, and this one for Goofy, donate some of these to the orphanage, and, um, hm... I guess the princess probably has a bunch'a'jewels... buuut she doesn't have one from this world! Yeah, that's the ticket!

[That's all the warning you get before Mickey suddenly skids in front of you, landing on his stomach, his hat outsteretched in his hands - to catch a falling Junimo. He sighs with relief as it lands safely in there, and he sits on his knees.]
Phew, that was a close one...
[Oh, right, you exist.]
Oh, uh, sorry! Hope I didn't startle you.

He's okay, but he somehow trying to get up to recover his footing very slowly.]

[he didn't think he had that much strength! He gently puts the hat + animal aside to stand up, and offer the guy a hand.]
If I hurt you, I got a healing spell that might help!

[He said this as he took out his moon amulet, which it starts to glow as his wounds from the fall began to close. After that, he took the mouse's hand as he slowly stands up from the ground.]
To be honest, I didn't pay attention to my surroundings. So no worries about it.

I'm glad you saved that young creature. Though, I feel a little guilty since I'm too occupied with the diamonds.
