mingle - raining cats and dogs (?)
It was a regular day for farming and living and whatever people wanna do - clouds had built over the last few days, but other then a slight bit of rain, things were normal.
Until now.
It began with rain. Just regular rain. Until the rain seemed to shudder and become soft ice. It looked like a mix of rain and snow - and glimmered like diamonds. It wasn't cold, it was just... beautiful. What a strange event...
That is, until a few hours passed. The diamond dust falling from the sky wasn't too weird. Even if it was nearing the end of Summer, it was quite nice. What began next, though? It was even weirder.
Diamonds and other gems had begun to fall from the sky, though they seemed to impact people just like rain. Not painful at all. They were real, at that! Whatever was causing this, it was... well, weird. It wasn't just the people and the outsiders curious about this - Pokemon from the forests and beyond seemed to be coming out into the town. Oddly, they were mostly Zubat and Bidoof... but there's a lot of other Pokemon, curious about the gems! Some of them are even eating them. Please stop.
...though, people not distracted by the Pokemon might notice small apple-like rat creatures. Some of them even seem to be falling from the sky with some squeaking.
The next day, things will be back to normal - any items not picked up will vanish, just as they appeared.

Sasuke moves to grab the tarp and shakes it out. The lady's right. It'd be easier with two people to spread it out. He could just summon another shadow clone, but he doesn't want to do all the work either. ]
I'll hold this end.

And it's more of the plants getting crushed and her becoming angry and frustrated she's trying to avoid.
As he's taking care of the tarp, she's putting sticks into the ground, taller ones in back, shorter ones in front before grabbing the other end. ]
Okay. If we tie the tarp to the sticks, this should work.
[ Hopefully, the tarp isn't too small. ]

And if it doesn't work, then there's just going to be a lot of farmers with damaged goods.
[ Hey gods, if this was part of some grand plan, maybe you should have thought about it a little more. ]

Now for the two smaller ones up front. I'm trying to make the gems roll off and into a pile.
[ She shakes her head as she heads to the other sticks. ]
Tell me about it. I just hope everyone's crops are all right.
[ Maybe the gems are for them to use to buy food... ]

Hail at least has the benefit of melting and watering plants after. There's still going to be clean up after this.
[ Assuming they don't just disappear like some treasure does in folklore. That would make things easier.
As if to make a point, he catches one gem out of the sky and tosses it at another, much larger, gem to keep it from landing on a plant. ]

Yeah, I know. That's why I'm aiming for a pile. It should make things easier.
[ She watches him throw the gem, and smiling, repeats the actions--also knocking a gem away from a plant. ]
So, you're a ninja, huh?

I think you're the first person to actually know that I'm a ninja and what one is without me needing to explain it first.
[ And those who actually know what a ninja is don't seem to believe that he is one! The nerve! He tosses another gem. Another gem is knocked away. The act feels satisfying. ]
Well, besides the guy from my world, and he doesn't count, you know?
no subject
She smiles and crosses her arms. ]
That may be because I'm one myself.
[ Trust her; she knows about that. Some of the things people said to her before...
And she'll also do a gem-toss, chuckling as it flies away. It does feel good! ]
No. That doesn't count. Ever meet someone who thought ninja weren't real?
