Yo! Call me Kurotani Saeko! And with that, a 14 year old wearing this appears, all smiles.

I'm new here. Just arrived today, if that means anything? It likely does? I'm not sure, but this place is a welcome relief to home, even if the intro was Odd. [She grins with a bit of a shrug. All things consider for her, farming is very much a Needed Break.] That said, I think you all know about pokemon? but. Um. You know, if you could not attack my team, that would be really nice.

[The camera pans over to what are recognisably pokemon, six in all, all of whom seem to be lounging in the sun for now. There is a glimpse of what could be a seventh, but then it's back to Saeko. She seems a bit nervous but covers it up well enough with a smile.] I do have another, but ... [Her eyes flick to the side, then back to the camera.] Well... showing Babii is.... probably not the best idea.

That said, any tips on farming? I've got my work cut out, that's for sure, but I'm a kid and I don't think I know everything, even if Mitsuru and Kamon would say I did.

[So much eye-rolling as she ends the feed.]

[When she's not face first into the jPad, Saeko is hard at work getting the (standard) farm in order. Well, parts of it. Mostly, she's just trying to make the immediate area around her house and the dam? pond? livable for the moment. Sure, she's putting in effort herself, but that doesn't mean she's doing this herself. Oh no. Not asking her pokemon to help is nigh unthinkable.

Of course they help. From her shiftry and sableye giving some of the trees a prune, to the fast-growing piles of branches courtesy of her ninjask. While the pokemon itself is almost invisible to the eye, the sounds it makes are easily heard. If she notices guests while doing this, especially if she's in the middle of something:] Hey there! Give me a second, and I'll be free to say hello like a normal person!

[If she's not working with that trio (more like being eyes on the ground), she can be found working with a swampert and absol pair; either co-ordinating the uprooting of tree stumps through a combo of Strength and X-Scissor, or push-rolling a fallen tree nearer to the house. If she notices guests while doing this, she gives off a wave, with a:] Oh, hi there! I hope we're not making too much noise while doing this.

[Watching all of this is a rather small rayquaza -if barely 15 feet in length is small. It's curious, but also more than happy to lounge in the sun. It does also have a shadow in the form of a mightyena, who will growl at anyone that gets too close.

This is in direct contrast, to the rayquaza who'll greet visitors with a cross between a chirp, a hiss, and a mewl?]

I hope not... [She seems to shudder a bit, hand fisting into the mightyena's fur, who leans against her to the point Saeko stumbles a step or two.

Not one to be left out, Babii is going to nudge Lillie with a sad sound. It wants pets too??

That said, there is a bit of a blank look from Seako because huh?] Pallet? I can't say it rings a bell. It could be a new town though, and I know I'm not as up to date on things there as I am with Hōen.

[Babii would get pets as she reached over and started stroking it.]

Pallet Town is the home of Professor Oak, and his research lab. It's world famous! I'm surprised you don't know about it.

[The rayquaza seems to coo as it settles down to lap up all the attention.]

Oak? [There's another blank look for a few moments as she racks her brain, before-] Oh! You mean professor Ōkido! Is he known as Oak-san in Alola?

[It's worth a shot, right?]

Oh, I think so.

Maybe our naming scheme is a little different then, because I've always known him as Professor Oak and his cousin is Samson Oak who runs our school.

[Lillie thinks for a moment.]

I wonder if we're from different worlds but similar?

It could be! I know places like Orre and Kalos have their own names for a lot of things, including pokemon. And Alola's like that too, from what I know and what you've said, Lillie-san.

Plus, it would be nice to think there's a world out there were the... mess... in Hōen didn't happen.

That's true. I've learned recently that Kalos is named "France" in other worlds due to an atlas I read at the library.

Actually there are other worlds out there, behind the Ultra Holes. The Ultra Holes are portals in space.

That's weird. I wonder what Hōen's called. [Something to look up later, that's for sure.

And there's a bit of a stare.] Portals in space? Then how do you know there's other worlds behind them? Not that I don't believe you, but- it's space.

It's called Hoenn, with two Ns I think.

[She nodded.] I've journeyed through them once before.

Weird, but ok.

[Plus, that's not that important, because-] What? How? Th-they're holes in space, right? Last I looked, life can't survive in space?

Well, there's definitely Pokemon from space, that's for sure. Solgaleo is able to travel through Ultra Holes and we went to another world on the other side of it.

Nuh-uh. There's talk some might have come from space long ago, but no-one's proven any pokemon actually came from space. Unless Kamon's lying to me, but I don't think he is.

[The existence of deoxys is very much under wraps. At least in Saeko's time.]

Solgaleo? An Alolan pokemon?

You can ask my mother, she's here and she does research into the Ultra Holes and the worlds on the other side.

Solgaleo is a Legendary Pokemon from Alola, yes. He evolved from Nebby, a smaller cloud-like Pokemon. We then used a Z-Ring to pass through the Ultra Hole to the other side.

[She nods in earnest, about to reply when a single word catches her attention.]

Um. Lillie-san? What do you mean he evolved? Pokemon don't evolve. They grow.

[Or, in Solgaleo and Lunala's cases come out of the cosmoem cocoon as cute tiny kittens or bats.]

Maybe not where you're from but where I'm from, Pokemon Evolve into bigger forms. This form of hyper evolution has been regularly studied in Professor Oak's lab.

[She was curious however.] So in your world they grow, and not evolve?

Yea, most take a few years before they're adults. Though you can kinda speed up the growth so that you can have a juvenile ragurāji in six months, but that's only through intense competitive training where you train for hours each day and take on the gymleaders. There's talk that you can get one under six months, but no-one's ever proven it.

Training isn't easy, either, because it's dangerous. [She nods to the mightyena beside her.] Tsuyoi here's a sub-adult guraena, and if I kept training her, she could become and adult in another few months, but I... There's risks with adult guraena.

[They are very much like hyenas after all, and an adult female is a lot riskier than a male.]

That's a lot different from my world. Pokemon hatch from Eggs and some have a baby step before they become adult Pokemon, and then they evolve further into a higher form when properly taken care of.

[Lillie patted Shiron's head who cooed at the pair.] Shiron here will evolve to a Alolan Ninetails when it uses an ice stone, but she doesn't want to evolve yet.

Oh, some hatch from eggs, mostly fish or bird pokemon. But most are born just like humans. Others are... [She just shrugs, then peers at Shiron.

And blinks because. What.] Of course she isn't. She's still a baby, right?

[That is... one weird, oddly out of proportion vulpix, alolan or not. Like it came out of a cartoon or something.]

That's so odd... all Pokemon hatch from eggs in my world.

And Shiron's an young Pokemon, but she certainly isn't a baby anymore. She's an adult, having passed a Trial with me.

[Shiron cooed, flicking her tails in agreement.]

I- Huh. [And one second, digging out her pokedex and poking at it until it calls up an image of an Alolan vulpix.] This is what they look like in my world as adults. But, if she's done a Trial... She's an adult in your world?

[Another, dubious, look at Shiron.]

No, the Trials are a little rite of passage. They can come in all forms and styles, and thanks to helping out a family of Sandshrew, we earned some rewards. Like a Ice-Z and what not.

Ah! So, kind of like gyms then?

Yes, but Alola doesn't have a League in place just yet. Professor Kukui wants to make one though.

But I thought they abhorred the League?

[Cue all the blinking and a head tilt.]

No...? They don't. We just never had one, that's all.
