2nd Shift; Video

Hello everyone.

[When Angel appears on the video feed, she seems a lot better than she was a few weeks ago. At least she will to the people who've met her since her arrival here. Her scrapes and bruises were healing up, and she's just... all around more cheerful than before. She's also much more comfortable broadcasting than she is IRL, so the video feed just works out better for her over all.]

My name is Angel, it's nice to meet you all properly, or it will be.

[When they reply... yeah, she might be more comfortable with this, but she's not exactly reading off a script anymore. And Angel is a lot less put together on the fly, you know like when she's trying to undermine her-- No, never mind that. She's not at home, she's at Starhue and she's actually happy. Currently, she's staying with Faith and her family, but she seems to be sitting on their porch outside for the time being from what can be seen in the background.]

I'm... Well, it's not totally my idea, but I'm trying to compile data from everyone's home world's for a library or database of sorts, for everyone's use. I'm also currently trying to document the different wildlife and flora of Starhue itself. It's... something to do, I guess.

[It's all she knows how to do. She's learning other things, about magic and mammets and meditation-- but those sorts of things would have to come in time. For right now, Angel can only offer what she knows.]

So if you don't mind, would you tell me a story?

Well, not that it helps much, but- my world is just normal. No fantasy bullshit, no magic, none of the crazy tech...just people living and dying normally.

That's not quite what I mean... I have a feeling I'm from a far more advanced version of your dimension, or most people's dimensions anyway.

What's home like? There are vehicles and stuff like that, right?

Duh, 'course there are! Like I said, they're just normal. And home... [A shrug.] Don't have one. I was always on the run, living off on tiny ass scraps and whatever. But, I guess the closest thing to a home would be the Tower I was brought to.

[sirenvoice]

[She's just making sure! Gosh, everyone's home worlds sound so... insular.]

The Tower? What sort of place was that?

A building where people get murdered.

[Well, that sure went from 0 to 100.]

Some try to escape, but then they killed on the next floor or so. Ya see, the way the place is that each floor has like a floor master, and our job is to make sure we end their lives. Least, that's what I remember from the priest who took me in. He said I'll be able to kill lots of people too, so I figured why not!

[He chuckles before shrugging.]

It was fun while it lasted, but I broke a rule and was gonna escape before the freaking magic bus outta nowhere picked me up. [Siiigh.] Even made a promise to someone too, shit...

[sirenvoice]

[He might have been wanting to shock her, but honestly? Sounds like an average day. She wonders if her dad would be into something like that, but that's basically what Helios is so... Yeah.]
