There's a video of some very nice looking peppers, fish (both fresh on ice and salted to preserve), and berries. Whoever is filming it never turns the jPad back to film himself.

"I find myself with far more of these than I can use. I am willing to sell or trade, if anyone would be willing." His voice is just a little strange, as if he's messed up the audio recording in somewhat, or filtered it. Human but something a little off, almost mechanical in a way, about it.

"I'm new to farming, although I was taught the basics, so I've had limited success." Has he been living off fish and very few vegetables with even less grain? Yes, yes he has. "I can walk to meet you if you aren't close to me, I believe I have this tagged with my location." Which of course means just show up, right?

Though I lightly agree, some...situations require mind over matter more often than not. Namely, survival.

Of course they aren't. But most people know their meat comes from animals and someone has to kill them, yes?

I mean, many species do survival on all vegetation based diets, so it's possible for some. But you have to actually know what you are doing.

Most people prefer ignorance rather than face the music on our most basic biological needs. Such is life, hm?

For some. Not all. Such measly ethics debates only cloud progression, in my opinion.

How interesting.

Some in my universe have....adapted, to different diets, and imposed restrictions based on their preferences, sometimes voluntary, others involuntary. Some dictate them based on choice. Others on availability.

It seems you are from somewhere without such luxury.

There are slavers who would do so, and disasters which happen and limit food resources of course.

But there are numerous species in the galaxy who have different dietary needs, and some which are perfect for one would be lethal to another. Of course, some planets have their own quirks in terms of have can be farmed or not, but generally some type of trade is available. So people eat the diet which works best for them.

Morality is a luxury when you're limited to only one planet. Many, that explains a lot.

Forgive me, my universe has yet to breach multi-galaxy space travel.

We're working on it, though.
