Name's Yue, and if you ever need fancy or rare knickknacks from all over, I'm your gal! See, I've been a traveling merchant for a while now, and I'm no stranger to going here, there, and yonder to find whatever it is you want!

I'll be settin' up shop in the house they've oh so kindly provided me when I moved in. It might not look the part of a good brick-and-mortar for a while, but don't you worry about that. For now, my wares are mostly warm food and jewelry, but my selection'll expand once I get properly rooted.

How durable is it?

The ones made of gold are as durable as you'd expect, softness of the metal and all, but they ain't of some cheap quality, I assure you! I spend quite a few pennies buying these from dealers, so if it's not of the quality I'd personally wear, I won't sell it!

So as long as you're wearing it to nice get-togethers and not, say, when you're out tilling the farmyard, they should hold for years.

[When taking a break on his farm work, Manfred heard the video come over the network. He smiled a bit, finding the transmission oddly endearing and earnest. Another person out there looking to do good business, from the sound of it.]

Not much of the jewelry type myself, but you got my attention with the food. What kind of stuff are we talking about?

Well, for now the menu is mostly fried rice, cabbage cakes, hot chocolate, hot milk, grape juice, roasted yam, seafood doria, french fries, fried udon, curry rice, stew, and sashimi from skipjack and snapper. I've heard coffee is especially popular in this region, so I'm adding that to the menu too!

If you can brew a mean cup of coffee, you'll probably have my business in a hurry. I've never had some of the stuff you mentioned though. Guess it wouldn't hurt to give them a try too.

Where's your shop, anyway?

Weeelll, that's the thing. For now, it's my house. That's how I was gonna have it set up before in the Haven, so I figured I might as well do the same thing here!

Hey, whatever works, really. We got free real estate out of this deal, might as well make it work for you.

...Wait, did you say "the Haven?" The one filled with dragons?

Yyyyep! It's the only Haven I know of.

[ Hey wait a second ]

You lived there too? For how long? I don't think I ever ran into you.

I've been living there for quite awhile now. Had more than my share of adventures before coming out here.

[He pauses, and thinks for a moment.]

Come to think of it, your name's familiar. ...You had a general store in Seahaven, right? I don't remember ever seeing you there... just some weirdo vampire and his penguin assistants keeping the store up.

[ Oh ]

...he took care of the store for me?

Yeah, he did. Last time I was in town, he was still was running it, keeping it going. Looked like business was pretty good, too.

[Well, this certainly explained the name on the storefront, that's for sure. He'd always thought it was a bit strange, but he'd never asked.]

...That explains why his nametag always said "Assistant Manager," come to think of it.

[ She might be getting a little misty-eyed over here. Just a little bit, though. She hadn't thought that goofy vampire cared so much. It's both touching and painful, the latter because she can't thank him for it in person. ]

Gosh...I've really gotta give him a bonus when I see him next! A lotta sardines, chopped up and fried to a golden brown, even!

Kind of a strange bonus... but he'd probably like that, if his ravings about fish were any indication.

I'll definitely make it a point to stop by your shop very soon. It'll be good to meet another Havenite in person. I do know a couple of others from there. You'll probably meet them before long, too.
