001 - Action

This feels lame but better done than perfect? :
Being a street kid, Sen, naturally had no idea how to farm. But he had nothing better to do, so off to town he went, dark hood up to hide as much of his face as possible as he browsed Pierre's General Store frowning at the various kinds of fertilizer, soils, and saplings.

"Hmm... I don't think I'll be here long enough to see those grow."

Later he'll head to the Museum hoping to finds a beginners guide of some kind. Only to end up being asked for donations... of course, being new, he had nothing offer.

The hooded kid moved on, wandering the town and learning the layout of the streets, he eventually found a rundown building to the north, its cracked walls choked with ivy, he glanced around to see if there was anyone nearby before sneaking through the door to see if there was anything good inside.

((ooc: Feel free to run into him at the store, Museum/Library or the sneak up on him and scare him in the community center!))

"Why yes, I do." Oh, is he from another world like Izuku? This might be awkward.

"You're in my class that I teach. Are you from the usual world or another? Or does that not make sense?"

"It makes as much sense as anything else here." Which admittedly wasn't much but Sen was rolling with it.

"Where I come from I go by the name Sen." He looked at the fertilizer bags Toshinori had been struggling with. "Do you want some help with those?"

He had nothing better to right now anyway, and it was All Might, or an All Might. A familiar stranger in a world of unknowns.

"Ah, please. I'm just bringing them out to the wagon outside," said Toshinori.

"Sen, is it? I can call you that instead of Todoroki." He figured he had a reason behind the name after all.

Some of the tension goes out of sen's shoulders.

"Thank you."

He reaches down for one of the bags to put it in the trolly ready. "Can I ask how long you've been here?"

"Just under a month now," said Toshinori, gesturing towards the trolly as he started to pull it towards the farm. "I've been working at cleaning the farm, and building tappers for sap instead of chopping down most of the trees. I could make some maple syrup come the fall."

"How about you?" asked Toshinori.

"Um, less than a day," Sen admitted. "I was looking around trying to figure out how even start."

Sen wondered if he should pull the cart or not, but if All Might seemed to be doing okay he'd leave him to it.

"You sound like you know what you're doing."

[i_am_here]

"Ah, it can seem a little overwhelming at first," admitted Toshinori. "Why in fact, I spent most of it laid up in bed."

"The rest I spent learning how to farm through books and trial and error."

[icydoll]

"In bed? Did you get hurt somehow?"

Sen falls quiet as they travel, mulling something over in his head. "You said I was a student of yours in your world?"

"I did. I was injured in my battle against All For One," said Toshinori as they reached his farmland. It was a rustic place, filled with mostly trees and a cleared area for growing where several plants poked its head out.

"That's right, the number one in the class actually," said Toshinori.

[icydoll]

"Oh... that was a while ago, for me, I saw it on TV." That's a flat-out lie, he had been to close to that fight for comfort, but what All Might didn't know wouldn't potentially bite Sen in the backside later.

"And I was top of the class?" Sen stared at All Might in shock.

Toshinori nodded, although he knew that in the world he came from, Todoroki and four other classmates went to save Bakugo. Still, he seemed to be okay with hiding the fact, if he was hiding it at all.

"Yes you were. On recommendation actually, being very good at tests and exams."

[icydoll]

"Oh." Sen's brother had pulled him from school after one of his teachers recognised him. To find out he was doing so well when he got the chance was a bit much to wrap his head around.

"I can't promise you I'll be that good of a student here too, but could I work for you and study how you work your farm?"

"I'd appreciate that," said Toshinori as they reached the farm and started to unload the fertilizer into a chest. "Thank you Sen."

"You're welcome All Might." Sen, of course, started to help move the bags too.

Sen thought he was getting the better end of the deal here, Information and an ally just for a bit of hard work. He was pretty sure his boss would be proud of him for landing on his feet like this.

...After he finished geeking out over the fact Sen was working for All Might of all people.

"Is there anything you'd like me to do right now?" He glanced around the farm but no tasks jumped out at him, which wasn't surprising since he had no idea what he was doing.

"At the moment I just need to water the plants," He said, gesturing towards them. "Mind taking the watering can while I till up some soil to spread a bag of fertilizer?"

Sen nodded, he couldn't see a watering can, but there was a shed nearby.

"I take it it's in there?" Sen asked pointing. "Where can I find some water?"

"Yes, it's there in the toolbox. On the left. There's water here in the well too." added Toshinori, gesturing to it.
