(Action)
[Somewhere near the edge of things, there's a small, simple farmstead. It's surrounded by trees, as if the owner was specifically trying to hide away somewhere. There's a few fields, a barn... and a white haired man working the land. He has a couple of sheep faithfully following him everywhere as he works, bleating softly at him.]
Yes yes, I'll make sure you get fed, silly creatures.
[And yes, he's talking to the sheep. Well, you found his hiding place, will you say hello?]

Eventually, they let out a grunt from behind their mask. ]
They hold no patience.

They're young. Especially Alphinaud.

[ Not that the Esper cares, as they look over Estinien. Sense the strangeness. For a raid boss, Belias is quite civil, however - even as they reach a claw over to the sheep, giving soft grumbles. ] I am no threat - even if I am a beast.

You seem no more beast than some spoken I've met.

Until they heard the sheep, and saw the quite tall man. Even in their Brotherhood of Steel Power Armour, they just came up to the height of the Elezen. And yet, they look from the sheep to the man. And under their armour, they can't help but smile. ]
How long you had those?
no subject
A few days. They came with the farm.
no subject
Then you've come then, as well. I'm handling mail duties.
[ of course they are ]
So don't let them bite.

Oh. [That's...
An elezen? At last something familiar--and he's still wearing his Garlean uniform. There's a chance the white haired man wouldn't see him as an enemy (not that he looks particularly threatening at the moment with a bamboo pole slung over his shoulder and a bucket in his other hand), but Cehd'ra doesn't think he wants to risk it.
Unfortunately one of the sheep bleating at the dark figure he makes near the treeline announces his presence before he can try to disappear.]

Come out of there.
no subject
...!
[He has his daggers with him, he could drop the pole and draw them. He's quick enough he'd be able to defend himself, duck under the business end of that lance, close the gap, find a soft spot on the elezen and...
...and Cehd'ra is so tired of fighting.]
Wait.
[He does drop the pole and bucket as well but instead of reaching for his weapons he holds his hands out and open for the elezen to see. At the same time he doesn't move any closer to that lance, the miqo'te ready to bolt if this doesn't work.]

It chases after a mouse (or a bug. or a leaf. or the wind. or any number of silly things) and off of the farm, through the forest a farther distance than Era would have expected from something so small. Eventually she loses sight of it as it rushes through some dense foliage, but she's quick to follow, bursting through the trees with an aggrieved, exasperated shout. ]
Estinyan! Return here!

And then an AuRa woman.]
...Did you just call it Estinyan?

She does her best to hide how much she recognizes him, though realizes fairly quickly that it's a rather futile effort considering the name of her silver tabby cat. ]

I think they want more than food from you.
[ Sasuke also has a large crow sitting on his head. Don't worry. Mr. Tori will behave himself. ]
no subject
They always want more food. But I feed them enough.
[That last part is directed to the sheep, not to the ninja or the crow.]

[ Sasuke reaches above his head and gives his crow some loving pats, which the crow leans into. ]

shows up five days late with stabbucks
That requires having manners and everyone who knows either one of these two knows that they are both severely lacking in that regard. She much rather look down at him in the usual snubbing manner she carries when it comes to the dragoon. Perched up in the branches of one of the trees near his land for an unrelated reason, Ysayle watches him with a curious look in her eyes.
In a few minutes, she'll climb back down undetected and resume her survey of the area. For now, she's frozen (ha ha) in place for some unknown reason to her. There was a question on her mind that needed an answer, yet she found herself unable to approach the man to ask. Mostly because a simple question would not fetch a simple answer and she already has a headache for a number of unrelated reasons―best to not allow the Azure Dragoon the opportunity to agonize her further.
If only life could be that simple though. Caught up in her thoughts, she doesn't hear the crack of the branch she should have known was bad as it gives out beneath her. While it shatters against the ground upon landing, Ysayle herself is just hanging around. The gods saw fit to not allow her to fall to her death a second time, as another branch snagged her jacket and keeps her there.
... but now? Now she is stuck and in plain sight.
So will he say hello?)
no subject
That changes though, when he hears the crash of the branch, and the other two sheep go sprinting in that direction. Why did he get the brave kind? Brushing off his knees as he stands, he turns...
... and sees a familiar face, comically hanging from the tree by her jacket. Hiding a chuckle by shaking his head, he goes and retrieves a ladder. Sure, he could jump and get her down, but with that tree, the ladder was safer. Walking over, he set the ladder up before looking at his former travelling companion.]
Do you want help? Or do you want to get down yourself?
