[[ if one were to describe the world that nia comes from, 'vegetation' would not be use often, if at all.

see, nia's world is kind of sad when i comes to greenery. sure, there's some, but a lot of the place is just wasteland and deserts. what we're getting at, is that nia isn't too familiar with the concept of farms.

but she's really diggin' it! haha, get it? anyway.

after exploring her own farm, she's decided to see what else this beautiful place has to offer. and that means she's going to wander right into your yard and check out your plants! or whatever is growing in your farm, it might just be some weeds. it's all new to nia. don't worry, though, she won't take anything. probably. ]]

Ooh! How wonderful! I wonder what these are called...?

[[ well there's a word she's never heard before. she cocks her head a little to the side in confusion. ]]

What are 'elves'? You are only half of one?

Ah, yes, I keep forgetting not all worlds have them. Elves are a species very similar to humans, enough that one might mistake the two at first glance. The most obvious difference is the ears.

[She takes her hand and flicks her hair back to expose one of her own pointed tips.]

There are, of course, numerous other differences, but if you see someone with ears like mine who otherwise looks completely human, you can probably assume they're an elf or a half-elf.

[[ nia tilts her head to watch her move her hair away from her ears. there is a small 'ooh' as she sees the difference, and she listens to the rest of the explanation. ]]

I see! How interesting, I had no idea such people existed. You are the first I have ever met, Miss Martel!

[[ aaaand she just remembered she has the apple in her hand. ]] Oh! Is it alright if I try this now?

[Good thing elves are pretty easy to explain, even if she's leaving a lot out. "Like humans but with pointy ears and magic" is good enough for most people, she figures.

She laughs at Nia's question.] It would be a great waste if you didn't.
