[[ if one were to describe the world that nia comes from, 'vegetation' would not be use often, if at all.
see, nia's world is kind of sad when i comes to greenery. sure, there's some, but a lot of the place is just wasteland and deserts. what we're getting at, is that nia isn't too familiar with the concept of farms.
but she's really diggin' it! haha, get it? anyway.
after exploring her own farm, she's decided to see what else this beautiful place has to offer. and that means she's going to wander right into your yard and check out your plants! or whatever is growing in your farm, it might just be some weeds. it's all new to nia. don't worry, though, she won't take anything. probably. ]]

[[ she doesn't get too greedy, simply picking one close to her of modest size. she shifts around a bit on the branch, looking over each side before realizing: ]] Ah. I can't get down while holding this.
Could I toss it to you to hold so I can get back on the ground, Miss... Oh, I didn't tell you my name! [[ crawling in someone's tree before introductions are fulfilled, tsk tsk. ]] My name is Nia! I'm sorry for my rudeness!

[And with that, she jumps up, grabbing onto a nearby branch, and swings herself up onto it in one smooth motion. A hop, skip and jump later, she's standing right on the same branch Nia is sitting on, now smiling down at her rather than up.]
Could you stand and put your arm around my back, Miss Nia?

[She wraps an arm around Nia, and as if she hasn't just impressed the girl enough, proceeds to casually hop out of the tree, holding her up effortlessly and absorbing the force of the landing without so much as a grunt.]

Practice? How many years did it take you to learn such amazing abilities? [[ this takes priority over the apple, sorry martel. ]] That is so impressive! I have only ever seen beastmen perform feats such as that.

[She takes her hand and flicks her hair back to expose one of her own pointed tips.]
There are, of course, numerous other differences, but if you see someone with ears like mine who otherwise looks completely human, you can probably assume they're an elf or a half-elf.
